More than 15,000 visitors transformed Fitzgerald Park into a giant outdoor laboratory over the weekend as Cork Carnival of Science 2026 returned with two days of experiments, discovery and family fun.

From the spellbinding Science of Hogwarts and RTÉ's Mark the Science Guy to giant bubbles, hands-on workshops, LEGO builds, renewable energy experiments and over 50 interactive exhibits, families of all ages embraced Ireland's largest outdoor STEM celebration.

Presented by and funded through the Discover Programme, Cork Carnival of Science once again brought science to life through curiosity, creativity and play. We were delighted to promote this fantastic event again this year. A look back at some of the fun!

Well done to everyone who took part in the 2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
The streets of Cork were alive with energy last Sunday as thousands of runners took on the Full Marathon, Half Marathon (National Championships) and 10K. From first-time participants to seasoned athletes, the atmosphere was filled with determination, passion and community spirit.

It was a pleasure to support this iconic Cork event again this year through PR and social media management.

A huge credit to Race Director Eamon Hayes and the wider team, volunteers, emergency services and partners whose work behind the scenes makes such a race day possible.
A event.

Our MD Niamh Murphy was invited to join a panel on Food Tourism at the Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland staff conference last week in the Aviva Stadium for - a Cork City Council festival.

She and fellow panellists Bernie Everard (who champions producers in the Midlands), and Cúán Greene, (who is opening the much anticipated Ómós in Abbeyleix shortly), shared their inspiring perspectives on Ireland’s evolving food story and how we can feed into the National Culinary Strategy.

The conversation reinforced that food tourism is no longer niche - it’s central to how people choose destinations. Visitors no longer ask what will we eat when we get there, but where should we go because of the food?

Food festivals are not just about creating events - they shape perception, animate public spaces, support local producers, drive shoulder-season tourism and create meaningful visitor experiences.

People may come for the scenery, but they remember the conversations around the table.
