Here is a very moving testimonial from a groom with whom I worked with on developing his wedding speech.
Hi Philip
Many, many thanks for all your help with my speech. You helped give it form and flow and helped immensely both in overcoming my abject fear of making the speech, and with it's presentation. I am most grateful.
I enjoyed making the speech and had no nerves at the time other than the undercurrent of adrenaline mixed with excitement that was with me on the day. I felt calm and confident and clear-minded throughout delivery.
The speech DID continue evolving, I must admit, each time being more relevant, and allowing me to ditch the stock internet search phrases and replace with original, relevant, words of my own, that flowed better. However, with all of your guidance and preparation, my delivery was competent. Or, I felt good, and the feedback was tremendous.
The Irish greeting got a great reception half way through but I wanted to finish it and maybe misjudged the timing so it may have got lost in the final moments of the applause/response. The birth reference (196) was pitched perfectly I felt, and got a subtle "aaah" reaction. The end joke (it's windy today/no it's Thursday) was well-received and a slow burner as people got it, but which threw me out a bit for timing the final line (will I get the tea on).
There were a few wet eyes, I was told, around the room, due to the sweet nature of the speech, which is lovely to hear. My wife said it's the biggest wedding gift she could have ever received, which means the world to me.
I'm (actually) looking forward to seeing the video of it. I will post it up and send you a link.
Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart. This was a sound investment, and you have made a lasting, positive, impact on my life. You are very welcome to use any part of this as a testimonial.
Best wishes, until we meet again,
Staś
