Macroom Flower and Garden Club had a great day last Saturday at the Community Expo in the sports complex in Macroom. Some of our members were fortunate enough to get a picture taken with Tyrone manager Mickey Harte and the Sam Maguire cup!
Our focus now is on our Gala night tomorrow night in Coolcower House where Una Fleming will be giving a floral demonstration themed "Sleigh Bells Ring".
A raffle will also take place on the night with all proceeds supporting "Cope Foundation Macroom" and "Cuan Mhuire Farnanes".
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night! :)

We are two weeks away from our gala night for the flower club its the start of Christmas as I said on my last post "Sleigh Bell Ring " will be demonstrated by Una Fleming of A.O.I.F.A.and this year we are supporting two Local Charities Macroom Cope Foundation and Cuan Mhuire Farnanes .There will be a raffle on the door tickets and all arrangements will also be raffled and lots more on the night from Christmas cake,Hampers,whiskey ,wines ,ect....so on the 12th of November @ 8pm in Coolcower House be early anyone wanting to see what we are all about visit us at our stand in the Community Hall from 11am-2pm on Sat 6th November hope to see you there.

Well any gardener who missed the gardening talk in Coolower last thursday night missed some night! Hester Forde From Casheen garden in Cork gave a talk and presented slides of her own garden. It really was amazing! We won't have to look around for a beautiful garden this year as we have it booked after the last night and we are really looking forward to visiting it.Our next meeting is the most important night of the year: our Gala Demonstration by Una Fleming A.O.I.F.A themed "Sleigh Bells Ring". It's always a great night out! This year it's supporting two of our local charities: Cuan Mhuire Farnanes & the Macroom branch of Cope .We as a club do a lot of fundraising through A.O.I.F.A. Every two years the clubs have their Christmas demonstration for a charity chosen by all the clubs in Ireland .The upcoming two years we will be supporting Motor Neurone Disease so your support would greatly appreciated! Further details on the gala night will be posted closer to the date so make sure and keep an eye out! :)

Hi to you all .Weather looking good and the garden is not bad and now its time to start setting your spring bulbs.We at the Flower Club are having a lady from Casheen Garden Glounthaune . Hester Forde will give a gardening talk and an illustrated Lecture at 8pm Thursday 8th of October in Coolcower House I hope to see you there .Everyone more than Welcome.

Well here we are again summer is over (if you could even call it that). Anyway our first meeting is on 10th of September in Coolcower House @ 8pm. we are all in for a treat as Orla McGrain is giving a Floral Art Demonstration on the night. Orla is from Doddervale Club in Dublin. She is an amazing arranger and is the upcoming Chairman of A.O.I.F.A. It will be a night not to be missed! All her arrangements will go into a raffle .Anyone who is a member of the club please do not forget that Competitions for Beginners and Advanced and for the Horticulture will be held on the night so please try and enter. I hope to see you all there! New members and Visitors are most welcome.

Hi everyone hope you are enjoying the fine weather. Well the Flower Club have been down to Crosshaven to a lovely garden called Templebreedy looking out over the sea and the evening was beautiful then on to Carrigaline Court Hotel for supper. It was super! The staff were so kind they didn't know what to do for us.Well our next trip is to Ennis to the National Flowen Festival supporting Irish Neurone Disease 19th-21st June.
