I had the honour of conducting my cousin’s humanist wedding ceremony . The ceremony room was decorated so beautifully with real candles and incredible floral arrangements by .
The couples mothers lit the 2 individual candles to open the ceremony and the couple took flame from these candles and let centre unity to close the ceremony .
my family had an amazing time at the wedding which was held to the following day with food trucks and barbecue absolutely delicious and such a treat! I am officially in love with this venue.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Niamh more highly as a wedding celebrant!! She made our entire day feel so special, and the ceremony was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

Despite a bit of chaos on our side when we arrived, she was incredibly patient and supportive, helping everything come together so seamlessly. She also fully embraced our theme (and looked amazing doing it!), which added an even more personal touch to our day.

What really stood out was how she made everyone feel included and valued throughout the ceremony, especially our grandparents. It felt so warm, personal, and meaningful, and all of our guests commented on how beautiful it was.

We’re so grateful for the role she played in making our day unforgettable and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I had such a wonderful day conducting the humanist wedding ceremony of P&C , who I first met back in 2023 at the Bride’s sister’s wedding.
It was so lovely to see their family again. The couples 2 mothers lit their unity candles (which Ciaran from VPL worked his magic on, cutting and fitting them into lanterns). They had a gorgeous reading of the song Home by and These I Can Promise by Mark Twain. The couple chose to answer questions about what marriage means to them, why they’re choosing to marry one another and what they loved most about the other which added so much of their personalities to the ceremony. I shared their engagement story and spoke about how “A wedding is not simply a celebration of the love you share today. It is a promise—a promise that your love will endure, deepen, and transform as you both continue to grow.”

HOW TO NOT BE STRESSED ABOUT TIMINGS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY- easy - DELIGATE!
Give someone else the job of time keeping, give them your morning of and pre ceremony schedule and ensure they keep things moving so that you can be as relaxed as you can be for your wedding ceremony.
There is nothing worse that seeing a Bride or a Geoom being rushed. There’s also nothing worse than starting a 30-40minute ceremony knowing that the guests have already been waiting 20-30 minutes for the ceremony to begin.
Some things are out of our control but giving someone else the job of ensuring everyone is ready 30 minutes before your humanist wedding ceremony is a good start!
