Love June weddings 💒 Lisa picked a gorgeous mix of delicate garden flowers. Delicious delphiniums, lucious peonies and sweet avalanche roses. Brought together with stock, gyp, campanula , tanasetium and cosmos. A little extra touch of locally grown cornflowers and cat mint.

On Sunday coming May 31st my mum Moyra Slattery and sisters Sarah Mann Aisling Slattery Griffin Lara Slattery and myself are taking part in the VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland.

This cause is especially close to our family’s heart this year following our sister’s diagnosis and treatment. We are incredibly proud of her strength and want to support the amazing work being done for research, awareness and patient support.

We have been blown away by the response and delighted with what we have raised so far.

With over 300 roses and 250 stems of
Gypsophila it was a classic white theme.

Last week was a busy one !
We were very lucky to have a guest speaker into class last Tuesday.
My very own Dad John Slattery came in and gave us a talk on propagation.
As we are studying Floriculture at the moment in both Clonmel and Roscrea.
We have learnt lots of different ways to propagate our in door plants. We have taken cuttings and divided up lots of different plants.
John came and told us all about budding of roses. Having worked most of his life in the industry and running Slattery’s Roses he had plenty to tell us. We also talked about different forms of propagation. He answered lots of questions and it was great to pick his brain ! Thank you again John.

I know I have been quite on here lately but we have been flat out in Clonmel and Roscrea ETB.
Both of our classes are studying Floriculture at the moment.
We are studying 16 plants over the next few weeks. We have been cultivating /repotting / checking roots / looking out for all kinds of aphids ! / dividing Aloe Vera plants and between both classes we have had around 50 aloe pups !
We have visited Garden centres and got some fabulous new plants. We divided a spider plant and got 10 spiderettes ! We have over 25 Tradescantia.
It’s busy but plenty to learn.

We are very excited to invite you to our end of year display in Clonmel on February 24th in the . My lovely students in the Clonmel class are very excited to once again show you their talent. If you were lucky enough to see their Halloween and Christmas display you will know that this class have a reputation of putting on a grand display. This one is a one day event from 12/2 pm. Come along and say hello. We would love to see you all.
