Ireland lost a huge character and champion of the Irish Metal and music scene yesterday. What can I say about Philip Keaveney of Burning Metal Irl,

A sincere person who was not afraid to give you his honest opinion which can be rare in this business

Phillip was always a huge supporter of what I did here in Mayo. Even though Philip came from Roscommon and was hugely influenced by his metal music background he always stood by my side and engaged with me endlessly on the Irish music scene.

We never got the chance to meet in person Philip which I deeply regret. I am going to miss our conversations and late night debates about the Irish Music Scene
