Deuce - A Tribute to Rory Gallagher are a highly popular three-piece Irish blues-rock band that tours internationally to honor the life and music of the legendary guitarist.

They faithfully recreate the raw, fiery, and soulful sound of the Rory Gallagher catalogue.Key Band HighlightsRepertoire: They perform fan-favorite tracks and deep cuts from both Gallagher's solo career and his time with the band Taste, including iconic songs like "Crest of a Wave" and "Messin' With the Kid".

The band regularly headlines major events, including the Annual Rory Gallagher Day at The Black Box in Belfast and various double-bill Irish rock events and are known as the Irish tribute act to Rory Gallagher

Shades of Lizzy are a 3 piece, Dublin-based Thin Lizzy Tribute band formed in 2016. Although the band are in their infancy, they carry over 60 years experience playing clubs, pubs and venues both at home and abroad – from Vicar Street to the Viper
Rooms to name but a few.

They have been gaining notoriety around the Dublin tribute scene as an explosiveand entertaining Lizzy tribute band.

Their sets contain all the classics, the epics andeven some of those album gems that are rarely heard live! Playing songs from the“Whiskey in the Jar” era all the way to their last studio album, Shades of Lizzy will not disappoint and will impress the die hard fans too.

Although they are only a trio, their shows pack a mighty punch and are sure to haveeveryone shakin their bones around on their toenails! And with a set-list consistingof over two hours, you are sure to have your Lizzy addiction satisfied.

While some tribute bands focus on the costumes and gimmicks, Shades of Lizzy's focus is on recreating the music as accurately and faithfully to the originals aspossible. This is what they believe keeps people coming back to their shows. "If youwant scouser wigs and fake moustaches you're better off watching The HarryEnfield Show".

Shades of Lizzy have been steadily increasing their fan base through pub gigs, support slots in top venues in Dublin and festivals such as West Fest in Omagh.

They are now staging their own headline shows and leaving audiences wanting formore! If Shades of Lizzy are in your town, be sure to get down and check them out. AsPhilo says "The next one's the best one!"

John Robb

bridge st Castlebar
Saturday, Nov 28th
Doors: 7.30pm
Show: 8pm

Not just a well known face from TV but also a best selling author, musician, journalist, Louder Than War music website boss, Louder Than Words and Louder Than War Live festivals boss, and punk rock warlord as well as TV/ radio talking head plus singer from post-punk critically acclaimed mainstays The Membranes and also Goldblade.

John Robb is all these things and more and his latest book in 2026 on his memoirs 'Punk Rock Ruined My Life' will cover all of this and his adventures in punk and post punk and much more.

His previous released books ‘Live Forever – The Rise, Fall and Resurrection of Oasis’ and ‘The Art Of Darkness – The History Of Goth’ are both acclaimed worldwide pop culture best sellers joining his past book achievements ‘The Stone Roses and the Resurrection of British Pop’.

John Robb grew up in Blackpool (who have now made him an ambassador for the town) before punk rock came along and saved his life. In the post-punk era he formed the Membranes – the highly influential post-punk band whose current critically eulogised albums keep pushing forward with added choirs and textures.

He was one of the leading post-punk fanzine writers in the UK with ‘Rox’ before he went on to write for the rock press with Sounds in the 80s. He was the first person to interview Nirvana and coined the expression Britpop and was instrumental in documenting the Madchester scene with his writing. His website louderthanwar.com is currently one of the top 3 most read music and culture sites in the UK and at the front of diverse modern culture, saw him very nearly release the Fontaines D.C.'s first single and gave Charli XCX her first review amongst other many firsts.
