Surabaya Cross Culture International Folk and Arts Festival Surabaya Cross Culture International Folklore Festival is hosted by CIOFF® Indonesia and Surabaya City Government.

Surabaya is the capital of Jawa Timur ( East Java ) and the second largest city in Indonesia with a population over 2.9 million, located on northeastern Java island and along the edge of the Madura Strait. The city is known as Kota Pahlawan ( city of heroes ) due to the importance of the Battle of Surabaya in galvanizing Indonesian and international support for Indonesian independence during the

Indonesian National Revolution. Surabaya was once the largest city in Dutch East Indies and virtually the center of trading in the nation. Culture Cross Festival aims to exchanging culture For the community and young people are also facilitated with musical performances, community attractions, and various other performances. Since 11 years ago, this festival present a variety of art and culture from across the Surabaya regency and even involve the arts from around the world. Last year Cross Culture Festival will include art teams from many countries to participate in it. Hosted by CIOFF® Indonesia and Surabaya City Government and supporting by Governor of East Java and Ministry of Culture and Tourism Indonesia. The main objective of Surabaya Cross Culture International Folklore Festival is to promote Indonesia, specially East Java Province and to promote “ Visit Surabaya 2016 ”.

The main attraction, performances from every country. SCCIFAF is designed to educate and entertain people by showing beautiful culture and diversity. All the participants will perform in different places everyday, such as Taman Bungkul, City Hall, G-Walk, and Royal Plaza. We also have countries night, where each countries have to treat guests with their culture. It is a night to remember. So, see you in SCCIFAF 2021!

[ What’s Interesting about SCCIFAF? ]

One of the things stayed in mind from SCCIFAF is its unique parade! All the participants of Surabaya Cross Culture International Folk Art Festival parade through the streets of Tanjungan riding our traditional mode of transportation, Becak, complete with their beautiful traditional costumes and flags. The parade finishes as they arrive at City Hall and prepare for press conference. It is a proud moment, seeing people from across the world enjoying our culture. You don't want to miss it! So, see you in SCCIFAF 2021!
