The biggest mistake people make in their journey to lose weight is yo-yo dieting.

People who do this have a diet mentality and go to extremes when they’re on a diet—to the extent that it makes them miserable.
The moment they give in to temptations and “cheat”, they allow themselves to binge on restricted foods that day and plan to go on “diet mode” again the next day.
A better way to prevent yourself from binge eating is to satisfy all your cravings in small amounts.
For example, a slice of pizza is about 250 calories and half a burger is about 280 calories. It is better to satisfy your cravings in small amounts than to restrict yourself and eventually binge.
Never feel guilty about satisfying your cravings. Just focus on how to replenish your body with nutritious foods in your next meal, regardless of whether its a carb, protein or fats.

By satisfying your daily cravings, you won’t even feel like you’re on a diet, you’re just focused on eating nutritious foods that’ll naturally regulate your appetite, make your skin glow and keep your metabolism high.

Shirataki (白滝, often written with the hiragana しらたき) are thin, translucent, gelatinous traditional Japanese noodles made from the konjac yam (devil's tongue yam or elephant yam).[1] The word "shirataki" means white waterfall, referring to the appearance of these noodles. Largely composed of water and glucomannan, a water-soluble dietary fiber, they are very low in digestible carbohydrates and calories, and have little flavor of their own.

Fat loss should be everyone’s goal to improve overall health and physical appearance, not weight loss. Weight loss is extremely vague as the average adult human body is composed of 60% water. You do ❌ not want to lose bone mass or muscle mass if your ultimate goal is to be healthy and attractive. 💃🏻 Most people think cardio 🏃🏽‍♀️ is the most important thing they should do for fat loss, when in fact, nutrition 🌮 plays the most important role in any form of fat loss. 70% of your focus should be on your diet. No amount of exercise is going to get you results if you’re eating junk food daily.
High intensity interval training (HIIT) and weight training 🏋🏻‍♀️ comes next. HIIT elevates caloric expenditure even after the exercise while weight training increases your muscle mass to give you that toned look you’ve always wanted. Increased muscle mass also translates to an increase in basal metabolic rate —> the amount of calories your body burns just by breathing—cumulatively this is ALOT of calories.
Cardio is better than not doing any exercise but it neither elevates your caloric expenditure post exercise nor increase muscle mass.
There is no short term solution to improving overall health and fat loss. Hence, it is important to choose a lifestyle and diet plan that is sustainable in the long run.
