In 2025, “DCJ Stílusgyakorlat” ("DCJ Style Practice") reimagines the legendary Dobos Cake, celebrating its 140th anniversary. With sour cherry brandy jelly, chocolate buttercream, almond praline, and caramel, this vertical masterpiece promises more than dessert — it’s an experience. 🍰✨

You can taste it from 19th August at the Street of Hungarian Flavours at Várkert Bazár in Budapest, or in confectioneries all across Hungary.

The Street of Hungarian Flavours returns for its 15th edition this year. It is Hungary's largest summer gastro-cultural fair, where visitors can taste specialties from across the Carpathian Basin, the St. Stephen’s Day bread, the Cake of Hungary, and even the Sugar-Free Cake of Hungary. 🍽️

🙌 Last weekend, Budapest pulled off a show-stopping welcome for global icon Jennifer Lopez — proving it’s not just a destination, but a place that offers a world-class experience. ✨

The superstar took the stage at the 𝗠𝗩𝗠 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲 on Sunday, and from the five-star suite at the 𝗣𝗮́𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶 𝗨𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗮𝘁𝘁, to the carefully curated backstage setup, every detail was executed to perfection.

Hydration was a priority: over 300 liters of 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹 Hungarian spring water — which comes from the depths of Horvátzsidány in western Hungary, where the spring has been known for its healing properties since 1225 — were prepared for her team.

During the concert, Jennifer sipped from a sparkling, stone-studded glass, custom-designed over a full week by Hungarian artisan 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮́𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿, founder of Anna Cristal. The dazzling piece was covered with 4,000–5,000 rhinestones — a true one-of-a-kind creation. 🌟

Fine dining was also a highlight backstage: the culinary responsibility for the Budapest concert was entrusted to 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗮́𝗻𝘆, head chef at the Michelin-starred 42 Restaurant in Esztergom. His kitchen represents world-class precision, creativity, and mindfulness. 🍽️

The menu was tailored to Jennifer Lopez’s personal preferences with a focus on health-conscious choices. One of her favorites was the Danube salmon (Dunai galóca) with butter sauce, dill, and caviar, while the beetroot dish was served in a custom globe-shaped ceramic bowl, featuring the silhouette of the Esztergom Basilica.

🌞 Rediscover the Golden Summers of Early 20th-Century Budapest – Outdoor Exhibition in the Buda Castle District

Take a stroll back in time and experience the vibrant urban summers of the early 1900s through a stunning collection of original Art Nouveau and Art Deco posters.

🖼️ Carefully selected posters from the collections of the Hungarian National Gallery and the National Széchényi Library bring to life the times when electric light competed with the stars, and summers were filled with beer gardens, river cruises, airships, wave pools and lively nightlife. 💃

Our colleague Zsuzsi recently visited the Hungarian Embassy in London, where she took part in a two-day B2B workshop with invited leisure and MICE buyers.

We were treated to an unforgettable culinary journey by a Hungarian chef — every bite was a masterpiece, every dish was full of flavour and creativity. 🍽️✨ Hungarian wines complemented the menu beautifully, making the experience even more special. 🍷
