And here are the pictures from the second day of ROBOMED 🦾🎉

The 24th Annual IFESS Conference was opened by the Minister of Health of Croatia (Vili Beroš), the director of the NHS (Lucian Vukelić), the president of IFESS (Simona Ferrante) and many more prominent names of the international Health Care.
We were so honoured to have you all with us.

It was a successful day full of keynotes held by our esteemed professors and scientific sessions filled with presentations by students from all over the world.

Here are the pictures from the first day - the Summer School, of our first ROBOMED event!!!🦾🎉 It was an amazing success and we were so happy to be able to welcome you to our town of Rovinj.

We thank you all for coming in person and participating online. And we especially want to say a big thank you to all our speakers who came from the Netherlands, Switzerland and so many other countries. It was such a blast to be able to learn amazing knowledge from and get inspired by.

And the first day of ROBOMED, the SUMMER SCHOOL, is done!!!🎉🦾

It was an exciting day of incredible lectures from the leaders of the field of medical robotics. We learned about the different types of prosthetics, robots for training and exercise, and other topics that are shaping the future of our medicine.

Upoznajte još jednog vrsnog stručnjaka kojeg ćete imati prilike poslušati na ROBOMED-u!

Prof. dr. sc. Roberto Merlet gostovao je kao predavač diljem svijeta, a ističemo Sveučilište u Bostonu gdje je bio istraživač suradnik u NeuroMuscular Research Center-u. Redovni je profesor na Biomedical Engineering- Politecnico di Torino gdje je uspostavio Laboratorij za inženjerstvo neuromuskularnosg sustava.
Ima preko čak 200 peer reviewed publikacija te radi na svojoj stranici www.robertomerletti.it s besplatnim edukativnim materijalima za stručnjake povezane s rehabilitacijom.

Prof. Alojz Kralj također je jedan od svjetski priznatih imena koji će govoriti na ROBOMED-u.
Objavio je mnoge radove na području biomedicinskog inženjerstva, elektronike i robotike. Koautor je prve knjige o funkcionalnoj električnoj stimulaciji izdanoj davne 1989. godine, a zbog svojih postignuća u medicinskoj robotici dobio je brojna priznanja diljem svijeta, od Japana do Slovenije!

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS IS EXTENDED UNTIL 11th SEPTEMBER, 2021!

ROBOMED - 1st GLOBAL MEDICAL ROBOTICS SUMMIT

CALL FOR PAPERS |
The list of topics is the following:
• FES for upper and lower extremities,
• spinal cord stimulation,
• breathing/coughing and airway management,
• stimulation of denervated muscles,
• pain,
• urology,
• fitness and cardio-vascular system,
• implantable systems,
• stimulation of the central nervous system,
• clinical results of using FES,
• quality of life with FES,
• neurorehabilitation,
• hybrid systems (FES and robots), and
• BCI and FES.

Other FES related contributions will be considered even if they do not belong directly to the listed topics. Only results not published or presented elsewhere are acceptable.

All papers submitted for presentation at the Conference will be peer-reviewed. If the paper has been accepted conditionally by the review board, the authors will be requested to return the final version of the paper not later than 31st August, 2021.
Manuscripts must be submitted in electronic form in PDF format before 31st August, 2021.

Prof. dr. sc. Winfried Mayr vrhunsko je ime na području medicinske fizike i biomedicinskog inženjerstva i predavač na ROBOMED-u.

Ishod europskog projekta RISE o funkcionalnoj električnoj stimulaciji denerviranih mišića, inicijative s 20 partnera pod njegovom koordinacijom, bio je razvoj novih kliničkih metoda i pripadajuće tehnologije za rehabilitaciju nakon flacidne paraplegije.

Član je Vijeća Europskog društva za biomedicinsko inženjerstvo i član je upravnog vijeća International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society-a (IFESS).
