‘Die Magische Tijd’, Roger Martinez’s 2012 original, returns for a second remix chapter, and this time it lands in the hands of gifted HIGHER STATES artist Donny Carr.

Donny Carr’s career has been about moving between forms, starting out as a trained saxophonist before he ever touched electronic production. A returning voice on HIGHER STATES, Carr brings musician sensibility to Die Magische Tijd: a signature blend of driving groove and techno low-end foundation combined with genuine melodic and emotional weight, a trademark equilibrium between darkness and light that has become his calling card on this label. His minimalist approach towards the original parts delivers a unique and highly contemporary, almost futuristic re-interpretation of the track.

Two producers, one track, more than a decade apart, somehow speaking the same language…

HIGHER STATES, Sound Awareness.
