Their first time in Dubrovnik was the day they married in it.
Lazareti holds weddings now where it once held travelers, ten stone halls between the old walls and the sea. Albina and Michael stood in the middle of it, overwhelmed by all of it at once, she in tears through the vows, he just smiling, until his friends lifted them both up on chairs.

Nicole & Nicky chose stone walls, centuries of history, and a city that has seen everything.
The veil went all the way to the cobblestones. The toast got loud. A musicians in traditional Dubrovnik dress led them through the old town.

Two halves of one day — the composed one, and the loud one.
White chairs on a stone pier, the sea on three sides, florals balanced on the water. And then a toast that ran loud, a walk through town past the traffic, and an old wall-sized photo where the whole crowd looked like it was cheering her on.
