Thank you for attending Creators Conflicts!

Due to our misjudgments , this event was launched within an extremely short timeframe. As a result, both our preparations and attendance fell far short of ideal, and we are deeply, truly sorry for that 😭rz…

Although our technical team worked under a liver-explosing schedule to bring the system online in time, our lack of promotional time and effort meant that not many people got to use the lineup cards or the interactive park 🫠. However everyone seemed to really enjoy the online whiteboard and voting system, and gave us some clear directions on improving. Thank you so much!

We are immensely grateful to all the participating doujin circles and performers who traveled long distances under our chaotic arrangements to run the exchange areas and deliver amazing performances closely tied to the event's theme 😭. We are so unworthy of your kindness and support 😭😭😭 We sincerely hope to make it up to you in future events! 😭😭😭😭😭😭

A huge thank you as well to all the attendees who came to support us. Fortunately, it seems everyone was relatively satisfied with the other arrangements, which is a huge relief 🥲.

Special thanks to Penana Penana故事平台 for promoting our creation challenge! We received over 100 submissions this time, so we think that we have to be reading like all month long 🤣.

Thanks also to all the volunteers who stepped up on short notice, including the students and teachers from HKIIT (Tuen Mun) . You saved us organisers from total exhaustion 😭! You kept checking in on our progress and asking how you could help—we literally would have collapsed without u guys 🫠.

Lastly, a special shout-out to Boxes Production 盒誌 . They cover our event every single time, have allowed us to contribute articles to their magazine, and even helped promote our previous events 😭. You guys are soooooo goooood! 😭😭😭

P.S.: After reflecting deeply, we've decided that if we ever face such a tight schedule again in the future, it's definitely better not to run the event at all. orz

Now for our round of thanks 🥒🥒🥒

First and foremost, a million thanks to all the participating doujin circles, HKGD, and Mikanya 蜜柑屋 for joining this experimental event! Despite the unpredictable turnout, you were willing to take this leap of faith with us. Your beautifully decorated booths were stunning and we are beyond grateful for your support! 😭

Next, a huge thanks to our staff! Due to some arrangement hiccups, the 'Take Your Time' photo booth was almost confirmed at the last second. Our dedicated team managed to get everything ready within a single day! As for our hype team, they relied entirely on their improvisational skills to keep the energy up! You guys were amazing! 🥹

Aaaaaand to all our attendees: Thank you for your efforts to communicate in English and for following the event rules! We were even moved to tears seeing some of you proactively help us clean up when things got messy. 😭😭😭😭 We love you all!

We're finally back! Here are our long-awaited closing remarks!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended 'Lifetime Memory Eng Only #01 Doujinshi Convention.' This was our second time organizing a doujinshi convention, and in many ways, the process was much smoother than our first event. However, because the local English-speaking doujin community is so fragmented, we found it challenging to reach more fellow fans despite constantly updating our advertising strategies🥲 Some circles only found out about us at the very last minute – we are so incredibly sorry for making you rush your booth preparations😭

In a way, an English-only convention is similar to themed 'Only' events that focus on a specific fandom. We've noticed that the local English-speaking community is growing, but people remain isolated: perhaps due to language barriers, hesitation to join Chinese-speaking conventions, or the cultural differences between English and Chinese communities🤣 Our goal was to gather the English doujin community to see what an English-centric convention would feel like, and more importantly, to ensure that none of you have to toil alone in the frozen tundra anymore🥲

The event was a huge success and we're so happy!! Though our wallets took a hit – we're down by about a dozen Gyu-Kaku Level E buffets🤕 We hope you'll continue to support us in our upcoming events so that we can make the next edition of the English-only convention happen!
