Wong Way Down
Nate Wong is one of Hong Kong’s most prolific jazz musicians, and his original jazz band returns with a fresh international lineup featuring Yu Hagiwara from Japan, Alex Wu from New York on trumpet, Ian Yan from New York on piano, and Edgar Ho from London on bass.
WWD has performed at major festivals including Freespace Jazz Fest, Hong Kong International Jazz Festival, and Shenzhen Fringe Festival, as well as a special collaboration with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
Drawing inspiration from his time in the U.S. and at Berklee College of Music, Nate’s compositions for WWD are improvisational, high energy, experimental, and unapologetically fun.
