Kung Hei Fat Choy! Wish you a happy year of Rat. Do you know the origin of “Kung Hei Fat Choy”?

In the early 19th century, many Chinese in Guangzhou worked in trading firm opened by foreigner and their salaries were related to the profit of the firms. It is believed that those Chinese liked to visit their bosses and greeted them with “Kung Hei Fat Choy”, and the custom is spread to current society.
Again, Kung Hei Fat Choy and may everything go as you hope!

相傳十九世紀初嘅廣州，洋行工作嘅中國人薪金同洋行嘅利潤有關，所以每逢新年，佢哋都會去拜訪洋人老闆叫「恭喜發財」，慢慢呢個傳統就傳播到今日喇！
最後再一次祝大家恭喜發財、萬事如意！

Thank you Trailwatch徑‧香港 for trusting us in organising your 5th Anniversary Event, "Hike & Seek: Music in the Woods", to bring such meaningful and artistic event to Hong Kong - great music and workshop experience for every guests (and the monkeys around the country park!).
