Val Aslanidis is a Thessaloniki-based DJ whose work traces a clear line from the golden era of progressive house to the contemporary melodic club landscape. Growing up in a small town, early encounters with radio and electronic music shaped a deep, long-term relationship with the dance floor that still underpins his practice today. Active behind the decks since 2002, his trajectory has taken him from local residencies to rooms across Thessaloniki, while maintaining a focus on narrative-driven sets that privilege feeling and harmonic progression over fleeting trends.

Operating within the intersections of deep house, techno and progressive house, Aslanidis treats the booth as an extension of the radio studio: patient in the build, attentive to detail and grounded in long blends that give each transition space to breathe. Informed by years spent listening closely to the genre’s formative period, his selections often echo that lineage without resorting to pastiche, folding classic sensibilities into a contemporary, club-focused framework.

Across the years he has appeared alongside artists such as Dave Seaman, Anja Schneider, Max Cooper, ARTBAT, Petar Dundov, Eelke Kleijn, Paul Ritch, 16 Bit Lolitas, Deborah De Luca, Kiasmos, Mark Poppcke, Wade Bennett and Stefan Biniak, situating his work within a wider network of European melodic and progressive sounds. His recent appearance at Stereo Bar for Polyrythmic extended this approach to an intimate setting, favouring long-form storytelling and a tightly curated arc over the course of the night.

Influenced by the Punk movement in his resident city of Porto in the early 1980s
and motivated by the explosion of Electroclash and the Manchester electronic scene,
Mister Teaser’s carreer has been running over 20 years leading him in performances
at New York, Madrid, Berlin, London and numerous other cities and festivals around
the world such as OffSónar, Primavera Sound, Paredes de Coura, Waves Vienna and
Bons Sons. He has constantly shared the decks with his reference and inspirational
artists, including names like Erol Alkan, Ewan Pearson, San Proper, Severino [HMD],
Anoraak, Mike Simonetti, Massimiliano Pagliara, SPFDJ, Gesaffelstein, DJEdjotronic
and Al Doyle.jj on
Kirchoff
DJ, filmmaker and a keen record collector, Kirchoff has been active in raising the
dance floors in various nightspots in the city of Thessaloniki for almost a decade.
Mostly involved with sounds of non western world descent Kirchoff keeps on digging
and introducing to the local audience the emerging electronic scene of the southern
hemisphere, with contemporary techno, grime, baile funk and acid tropical sounds
from Africa and Latin America.
