Choosing your wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make — it sets the mood, the aesthetic, and the entire experience of your day. If you decide to do it before hiring your wedding planner - strongly not advised to do so however -

Here are my top tips to help you find the perfect place to say “I do” in Crete:

✨ 1. Decide your wedding style first
Beachfront? Rustic vineyard? Elegant private estate?
Your venue should match the atmosphere you want, not the other way around.

✨ 2. Consider your guest experience
Think about: accessibility, shade, comfort, parking, transport.
A stunning venue should also feel easy and enjoyable for your guests.

✨ 3. Check what’s included
Some venues offer lights, tables, décor, coordination — others offer only the space.
Ask for a complete list so there are no surprises.

✨ 4. Visit at the right time of day
Sunset lighting can transform a venue — or create shadows in the wrong places.
If possible, visit during the time of your ceremony.

✨ 5. Check vendor restrictions
Some venues allow only certain caterers, florists, or DJs.
Make sure you’ll have the freedom to create the wedding you want / super important
