OptiX Interactive Inc. is officially up and running, and our first six events have been incredible. Our goal is to bring theater-grade, immersive entertainment right into local neighborhoods, and the turnout has been absolutely amazing.
A quick look at our favorite recent highlights:
The Knicks Watch Parties at The Boathouse Boatbar: When river winds picked up, safety took priority. We proactively pivoted away from our giant 200-inch screen to protect the crowd, but our high-contrast 4K laser setup allowed us to shift the display seamlessly and still deliver a premium, courtside-quality experience by the water.
FIFA World Cup at the Ossining Children's Center: A special community event where families gathered to enjoy a high-stakes match with pristine spatial audio.
Community Movie Night at Market Square: Outdoor cinema under the stars where our laser projection completely cut through the ambient town lighting for a crisp, vibrant picture.
Behind the Tech (Lessons Learned):
Every outdoor setup is a chance to refine our systems. A major takeaway from these runs is the necessity of consistently monitoring the internal PSI (air pressure) of our massive inflatable screens from setup to breakdown. Evening temperature drops cause pressure shifts, so keeping a digital gauge on the PSI ensures the structural integrity stays rock-solid and the projection surface remains perfectly flat.
