Being part of M & A’s journey allowed me to see how thoughtfully they move through life.

They didn’t approach their wedding casually. They approached it with intention, curiosity, and respect. They wanted to understand what they were stepping into — not just experience it.

Throughout the process, they asked questions. They listened. They made decisions carefully. And on the day itself, they stood there with a calm that felt deeply rooted.

What stays with me is their steadiness. The way they held eye contact. The quiet confidence in their presence. Nothing performative — just real commitment.

M & A, I wish you a marriage that feels exactly like you did that day: balanced, honest, and strong.

For couples considering a Greek Orthodox wedding — especially from abroad — clarity makes all the difference. From documentation to meaning, from coordination with the Church to standing beside you on the day, my role is to make sure you fully understand what you are living.

If that’s the kind of experience you’re looking for, send me a message and we’ll talk.

In a Greek Orthodox wedding, symbolism is everywhere.
Every gesture carries meaning. Every movement connects the couple not only to one another, but to a wider circle — family, faith, and community.

At the heart of this ceremony stand the koumbaroi.
More than witnesses, they are chosen family. Trusted figures who stand behind the couple and actively take part in the sacrament itself.

They exchange the Stefana - the wedding crowns - three times over the couple’s heads, a quiet and powerful gesture of unity and equality.
They present the rings.
They remain close throughout the ceremony.
And during the Dance of Isaiah, they follow just behind, holding the crowns as the couple takes its first symbolic steps as a married pair.

Nothing in this ritual is decorative.
Everything speaks of connection — between two people, and between the community that surrounds and supports them.

A ceremony where love is witnessed, carried, and shared.

For M & A, choosing an Orthodox ceremony mattered deeply.
Not as a formality, but as a statement - about the family they’ve built, the values they share, and the community around them.

This ceremony wasn’t something their guests were invited to watch from a distance.
It was something they were asked to be part of.

Family and friends stood close, witnessed every step, every gesture, every promise.
They shared the silence, the prayers, the joy, the emotion — sometimes quiet, sometimes overwhelming.

An Orthodox wedding is not only about two people.
It is about union, yes — but also about presence.
About saying: we are here, together.

And that is exactly what M & A wanted — to be married with their people around them, not apart from them.

For M & A, choosing to marry in the Greek Orthodox Church meant embracing a tradition that was not entirely their own — and making it fully understandable for them and for their guests.

A is Orthodox, but not from Greece.
M is Catholic from France.
Most of their families and friends travelled from France.

From the very beginning, my role was to guide them through everything required by the Orthodox Church of Greece: gathering and validating documents, liaising with the church, and ensuring every administrative step was correctly handled. All documentary preparation was conducted in French so they could move forward with clarity and confidence.

But beyond the paperwork, what mattered most was understanding the ceremony itself.

We took the time to go through each part together:
the role of the Koumbaros,
the symbolism of the Stefana,
the Dance of Isaiah,
what happens, when, and why.

Because when a ceremony is in a different language and rooted in a different tradition, knowing what is unfolding transforms the experience entirely.

Together with the priests, we also agreed on subtle moments where brief explanations could be shared for their guests - never to interrupt the liturgy, but to allow families and friends to fully grasp the meaning of what they were witnessing. Most guests had travelled from France, and making the ceremony accessible to them was essential.

Their wedding at Agios Fokas in Paros honoured the integrity of the Orthodox ritual while allowing everyone present to feel included in it - not as spectators, but as participants who would leave the island richer.

If you are considering a wedding in a Greek Orthodox Church and want to approach it with understanding, respect, and confidence, send me a message. DM me and I’ll guide you through every step.

Some couples leave a mark that goes far beyond the day itself.

C & D arrived on the island with generosity, warmth, and the kind of authenticity you cannot stage. What they created here was never just a celebration — it was an invitation. An invitation for their families and friends to experience the island they love, to slow down, to share, to connect.

Throughout these days, what stood out most was them. Their ease with one another. Their kindness with everyone around them. The quiet way they made each person feel welcomed and included. Genuine people, with generous hearts, surrounded by the same.

Watching them bring their worlds together here felt natural, joyful, and deeply sincere. And somehow, it never felt like work — only like being part of something honest and meaningful.

I already know this is not goodbye.
I look forward to welcoming them back very soon — not as former clients, but as friends returning to a place that now holds a part of their story.

Wishing them a lifetime of shared horizons, laughter, and that same beautiful energy they carry wherever they go.

Some places do more than host a celebration — they quietly reveal who a couple is.

For C & D, this hilltop setting overlooking the sea felt like an extension of them: open, warm, and deeply welcoming. The landscape did not simply frame the day; it shaped it. Long shared tables, olive branches woven through the setting, soft linens, and a palette drawn from the surrounding earth and light allowed everything to feel coherent and effortless.

As the sun moved across the sky and into golden evening, the space naturally carried the celebration from ceremony to dinner and into the night. Conversations stretched across the table, laughter travelled easily, and the view remained a constant presence — never competing, always grounding.

When a venue truly reflects a couple, styling becomes a continuation of the place rather than something placed upon it. And the result is a celebration that feels honest, relaxed, and entirely their own.

With family and friends gathered from three continents, the ceremony needed to speak to everyone in the space — not just symbolically, but literally.
Three languages, one intention: to make sure every parent, every child, every loved one could follow, feel, and belong.

The ceremony unfolded with simplicity and care. Words shared across languages. A sand ritual involving the children, creating a keepsake that will remain with C & D long after this day — a quiet testament to what was united here.

There was laughter, joy, happy tears, and a sense of ease that comes when people feel seen and included. Honesty, connection, and a lot of love in the air.

Before anyone else arrived.
Before the chairs filled, before the music, before the day unfolded.

Just the two of them, meeting quietly for the first time — taking a breath, holding space, letting the emotion land without an audience.
A moment of calm, of recognition, of “this is us”, before sharing it with the world.

Some moments don’t need words.
They just need time.

For C & D, gathering their families mattered deeply. Living in the US, with roots in South America and Europe, this celebration became a rare and meaningful moment of reunion — some loved ones seeing each other again after years apart, in a place none of them called home, yet all could share fully.

Throughout the planning, my role was to support, assist, and help structure both logistics and ceremony elements, before coordinating the day itself. What grew over that time was a genuine connection — the kind that makes welcoming them back to Paros this coming season like seeing friends return.

Choosing to host both the ceremony and reception on the same site allowed the day to flow naturally, anchored by the landscape, the light and the stunning view. I also assisted in shaping the ceremony script and prepared the French and Spanish versions, while a dear friend led the ceremony in English — a simple, intentional way to honour all sides of their story.

Some couples simply feel at ease together.
J & G move through the world side by side, relaxed, connected, and genuinely happy in each other’s presence.

This day wasn’t about a single moment, but about everything that comes after it. The conversations, the laughter, the way they show up for one another when no one is watching. What mattered was visible: trust, affection, and the quiet certainty of having chosen each other.

Wishing them a life filled with shared joy, steady love, and many years of walking through life together, just as they did here, hand in hand.

And for couples dreaming of a ceremony that feels true, personal, and deeply theirs, I would be honoured to be part of that journey.

For J & G, the ceremony was designed as a shared moment, and also as a protected one.
Together, we reflected on what they wished to offer publicly, and what they wanted to keep just for themselves. In front of their families and friends, they chose words that spoke of commitment, intention, and the life they were choosing to build together, a promise made openly, witnessed and held by those they love.

Alongside those words, they shared a sand ritual, deeply symbolic, allowing everyone present to witness the joining of two paths into one. A gesture that made visible what was being promised, grounding their union in something both simple and powerful.

And then, beyond the ceremony, they kept a space that belonged only to them. Their personal vows - spoken privately, without audience or expectation - remain theirs alone. A moment untouched, intimate, and precious, carrying a different kind of weight because it was never meant to be shared.

This balance between what is offered to others and what is safeguarded within a couple is where ceremonies become truly personal, shaped with care, intention, and respect for what love needs in order to be honored.
