A Weekend of Connection, Culture & Collaboration
Over the past three days, our team had the honour to take part in a truly special event: the official twinning of the Municipality of Platanias with the Municipality of Nieder-Olm (Germany), as well as the commencement of the twinning process with the Municipality of Bussolengo (Italy).
It was a weekend filled with impactful actions, cultural exchange, and heartfelt moments — all held under the historic light of the 84th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.
During the General Assembly held on Friday, May 23rd, all participating municipalities made a mutual commitment to fostering a strong, long-term relationship based on friendship, cooperation, and shared values.
We had the privilege of supporting and coordinating a variety of activities across this intensive three-day programme — from official ceremonies and commemorations to welcoming receptions, guided tours, and formal dinners.
As professionals in event management, we strongly believe that well-orchestrated planning is the key to seamless collaboration between institutions, especially in high-level inter-municipal partnerships. Ensuring a smooth flow of communication, logistics, protocol, and hospitality — even across languages and cultural backgrounds — is something we take great pride in.
More than anything, we are grateful for the opportunity to:

A heartfelt thank you to the Municipality of Platanias, to the Mayor Mr. John Malandrakis and the whole council for trusting us with this responsibility and for allowing us to contribute to this historic moment.
May this be just the beginning of a fruitful and lasting cooperation between the twinned cities — and a model for how culture, history, and dialogue can bring people closer together.
