Via this post some information regarding current prices on the auctions. As we all know flower prices are mostly made on a supply and demand basis. About 10 weeks ago the virus started to bring the trade to a global standstill. We can all remember the images of growers throwing away their crop and mountains of flowers which were not sold via the auction but ended up on the skip. Most who grow crop which need to be planted individually for each harvest have planted these weeks a lot less than they normally spoken would have done. (think of , all flowers, and so on). This results currently in big shortages of flowers, shops are opening up again, but growers are currently still behind in production. They are all working hard to get the production back to normal levels. For the time being these certain flowers are currently very expensive compared to normal summer months. A great tip from our side: work with seasonal flowers, , , are all right in season now, and also very affordable!
