The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced an urgent investigation following the reported disappearance of a newborn baby from the East Gonja District Hospital in Salaga on June 10, 2026.

According to a press release from the Savannah Regional Health Directorate, an immediate search within the facility did not locate the baby, prompting the case to be referred to the police for further investigation.

Authorities say they are working closely with hospital management and security agencies to locate the missing child and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
