Friends of Guernsey Music Centre Jazz Evening fundraiser Saturday 21st March 7.30pm

There are still some tickets available for our fundraising evening that is taking place at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts on the 21st March, which will include popular classics performed by the Music Centre Training Jazz Orchestra directed by Liz Green and the Music Centre Youth Jazz Orchestra directed by Katie Gough.
The evening will also feature performances by The Wright Notes choir, the Music Centre string quartet and saxophone ensemble.

The Friends of Guernsey Music Centre support the work of the Music Service, and as a fundraising body provide funds for the purchase of instruments, musical supplies and also subsidise trips and musical experiences for Guernsey Music Centre pupils.
This valuable work underpins the work of the Service, and these continued fundraising efforts enable us to provide opportunities for all of our students.
We would be extremely pleased to see as many people there on the evening to support this event which will directly benefit Music Centre students.
It is an informal evening with seats available around tables in the main theatre at which a light super will be included in the ticket price, or alternatively seating without food is available upstairs, which also provides a great view of all groups involved.

Ticket prices:
Table seating in main theatre - £20 to include a light supper.
Upstairs seating available but with no food - £12
Tickets available direct from The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts

✨ Next week the PRCPA welcomes with their production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. ✨

Ten strangers. Stranded on a remote island off the coast of Devon. Invited there by a mysterious host. Everything seems perfect, until one of them dies. Their only clue: a traditional nursery rhyme. The survivors must determine who the killer is before it’s too late! The Sixth Form Centre is pleased to present Agatha Christie’s masterpiece: the best-selling crime novel of all time, And Then There Were None. This classic murder mystery is filled with tension, suspicion, and a twist that you absolutely will not see coming. It’s a gripping story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, trying to solve the puzzle right along with the characters. Can you figure out who the killer is? Or will you, like the ten guests, be completely fooled?

Performances run on the 3rd, 4th and 5th March at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at our new website www.prcpa.gg. Box Office will be open from 6pm on show days for ticket purchases also.

✨ We are thrilled to welcome back next month to perform Witches.

In this richly textured double bill, Ballet d’Jèrri returns to Guernsey with one of the very darkest chapters of the Channel Islands History. Deemed as the witch hunting capital of Atlantic Europe, sixty-five Jersey people alone were tried for witchcraft between 1560 and 1660.

Two world class female choreographers, Vidya Patel and Katya Bourvis dive deep into this historical moment, bringing it to life with their own distinct voices in a whirlwind of fractured narrative, emotion, abstraction, and breathtaking movement.

Guided by Jersey scholar and writer Dr Adam Perchard, they use this history to pose urgent questions about the time we live in now. Whose world might it be- The Witches’ or ours?

Performances on the 26, 27 & 28 March at 7.30pm. Tickets available at www.prcpa.gg

✨ Don’t miss out on this phenomenal show! ✨
