🌹What Happens During a Nikah?
1. Proposal and Acceptance (Ijab & Qabul)
• The groom (or his representative) makes a formal proposal (Ijab).
• The bride (or her representative) formally accepts (Qabul).
• This is done in the same sitting, and in the presence of two Muslim witnesses.

2. Mahr (Marriage Gift)
• A mandatory gift or dowry from the groom to the bride. • Can be money, gold, property, or anything valuable.
• The amount and form are agreed upon before the Nikah. Two adult Muslim male witnesses (or one male and two female) must be present for the Nikah to be valid.

Nikah Ceremony (Religious Part)
• Usually held at a mosque, home, or wedding venue. The imam recites verses from the Quran and performs the Nikah.
Marriage Contract (Nikah)
• A written contract is often signed by both parties and witnesses.
