FOR EVERYBODY WHOβS BEEN ASKINGβ¦ YES, I DO SLEEP πππ
Laying here this morning, I finally had a chance to really process the last two months.
4 CARNIVALS. π»π¨π±π¨π§π§π¬π©
Over 60 shows, fetes and road sets across St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Barbados and Grenada.
But for me, it was bigger than just going from booking to booking.
Every island I went to, I had to learn the music, understand what the people were responding to and find my own unique way to deliver it while still being KEVIN CROWN.
Then Iβd take something I learned from one country, add it to my arsenal and carry it into the next.
That might actually be one of the things Iβm most proud of.
After all these years, Iβm still a student of the music. Iβm still learning. Still adjusting. Still finding new ways to connect with people.
And somewhere in between all of that, I still managed to throw two of my own events, write songs, release new music and even help a homeless family get into a place they can finally call home.
So yeahβ¦ IβM TIRED. π
But laying here thinking about it all, Iβm PROUD. ππΎ
Proud that I get to do what I love. Proud that I get to represent my culture. Proud that this gift has allowed me to touch thousands of people, and even more proud that sometimes the impact has absolutely nothing to do with a stage or DJ booth.
I have ONE MORE todayβ¦ then tomorrow Iβm finally going HOME. πππΎ
To every promoter who trusted me with their event, every artist and DJ I shared a stage with, and most importantly EVERY SINGLE PERSON who danced, jumped, waved, sang, got DUTTY, got wet or simply stood in that crowd and gave me your energyβ¦
THANK YOU. β€οΈ
You probably donβt realize how much of that energy you give right back to me.
There were days my body was exhausted, but the minute I touched that stage and felt that energy, somehow I found another gear.
Grateful for the journey.
Proud of the growth.
Thankful for the people.
ONE MORE TO GO.
Then somebody please send me home to my BED. πππππΎπ
