Dittany Entwined Floral Design

Dittany Entwined Floral Design Sophisticated floral design with a playful heart! At Dittany our creative process is lead by texture, nature, shape and most of all by you.

Working at many venues around the UK, I can turn my secateurs to most spaces from country house hotels and marquees to quirky industrial barns. There isn’t a “one size fits all” when it comes to the design process, every style is unique and most couples that I work with are looking for something a little different in order to let the blooms reflect their personalities. It’s so important that you f

eel relaxed and included in your wedding journey. From handpicking the blooms in the markets, to then putting every last detail on the day together… makes us incredibly happy.

Hi, I’m Nicola, founder of Dittany Entwined Floral Design & Dittany Entwined Art.

I’ve always been completely obsessed with creativity, art, and nature.

As a child, I was constantly drawing, painting, making things, and exploring. I loved beautiful buildings, hidden details, old churches, woodlands, gardens, and spaces that made you feel something. I think I’ve always been searching for beauty, atmosphere, and connection in one form or another.

Floristry actually never crossed my mind as a career. It wasn’t something I grew up thinking was an option for me.

It found me

It brought together everything I had always loved:
art, movement, colour, texture, nature, storytelling, and creating emotion through design.

My approach to floral design is deeply personal and intuitive. I’m less interested in following trends and more interested in creating something that feels like you. Designs that feel abundant, intentional, full of movement, and connected to the space they exist within.

I want people to feel something when they walk into a room.

Calm.
Wonder.
Emotion.
Connection.

I also believe the experience matters just as much as the flowers themselves. I care deeply about how my couples feel throughout the process and creating work that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and full of meaning.

Flowers became so much more than flowers for me. They became a way of creating atmosphere, preserving memories, and telling stories in a way words sometimes can’t.

I feel very lucky that this is what I get to call work 💛

Are you a peony lover? 🌸

Are you craving a little more me time?

There is something so beautifully mindful about creating with fresh flowers.
The scent, the movement, the connection to nature, the quiet immersion in design… it creates a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words.

And then there’s the feeling afterwards, creating something with your own hands that you feel genuinely proud of. That feeling is everything.

This is exactly why I created these workshops.
A space to slow down, create, connect, learn, and simply enjoy the process.

On the 29th of May, I’ll be hosting a workshop entirely inspired by peonies 🌸

You’ll learn how to create a beautiful hand-tied bouquet using stunning seasonal peonies, whilst also learning design tips and techniques that will help you create arrangements that feel natural, abundant, and full of movement.

But more than that, you’ll have the freedom to play, experiment, and discover what you personally love aesthetically, with plenty of support and guidance throughout.

There are currently 6 spaces available.

If this sounds like something your soul needs right now, comment “PEONY” below, and I’ll send you all the details ✨

This one still sits firmly as one of my all-time favourite weddings.

Firstly, I had the joy of creating it alongside the wonderful Ellen from — a wedding planner I love working with.

Secondly, will forever have my heart. The layers of history, the intricate details, the hidden doors… it’s a space that constantly sparks my creativity. And the team there are just as special. After this wedding, we donated some of the flowers to the nuns, a story in itself, but such a beautiful moment, seeing the genuine joy on their faces 💛

And thirdly, this couple. Their vision was completely their own, thoughtful, intentional, and refreshingly different. They chose to forgo a traditional ceremony and instead transformed the staircase into a space for first looks and the start of their celebrations.

Watching guests interact with the installation throughout the weekend was incredible. This is exactly why I do what I do! To create work that invites connection, playfulness, presence… living, sculptural pieces that are there to be experienced, not just observed.

This wedding embodied everything I value: Intentional, meaningful design
Choices that evoke feeling and emotion
True collaboration and teamwork

I had a team of 15 working alongside me that week, and I loved every moment of it. It reaffirmed, on so many levels, how much I thrive in scale. The organisation, the problem-solving, the energy of a team, and the opportunity to design in a way that completely transforms a space.

What are you choosing for your wedding because it's meaningful to you?

Last month I had the pleasure of working with Kirkwood Hospice at Oakwell Hall for their Mother’s Day in Bloom project 🌿

A celebration of motherhood in all its forms, and a beautiful coming together of community. All in aid of raising awareness and vital funds for the hospice, enabling them to continue their incredible work.

As many of you know, I’m a physiotherapist by background, and I’ve seen first-hand the level of care, compassion and support that hospice and palliative care services provide. Their work is so important, and so much of it is made possible through fundraising like this.

I’m so looking forward to bringing my beautiful peony home to plant in my garden, a lasting reminder of such a meaningful project 🤍

Did anyone else take one home?

Choosing a wedding florist can be overwhelming!

So I have written a blog all about my enquiry and booking process to give you some clarity on what to expect.

Booking a consultation call might feel nerve-racking, especially if you have concerns about budget, are worried about the ‘hard sell’, or are still unsure about exactly what you want for your wedding flowers. But here, consultations are about connection, and I’m genuinely here to help you get the most out of your budget and your day, however that looks. My process is designed to be easy, supportive, and clear, and I’ll help guide you through ideas, the flow of your day, layouts, and visual impact.

One of my special skills is helping you identify what actually matters to you and why. Because to me, that's where true value lies.
