If you’d like an insight into life training to be a performer check out the CBBC documentary Stage Stars!

Sam Darcey (featured in the show) came to me for Private Ballet lessons. Sam had never done Ballet before and was accepted into Tring Park School for Performing Arts. I met Sam age 7 at Bootham School where I ran the dance club.

It has been so lovely to be a small part of his performing arts journey and to see where he is today!

A very special Happy Birthday to our Barnabas Centre Studios!!!
From where we were a year ago to where we are now has been an incredible transformation!

We have two purpose built studios in The Barnabas Centre allowing all our classes to be held under one roof and strengthening our lovely dance community!

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us over the move and to all our new dancers and families that have joined us in our new home! Special thanks to all who have gone the extra mile to help us on our new adventure at The Barnabas Centre from knocking down a wall to picking up a paintbrush, or supporting our fundraising every little bit is truly appreciated!

A special shout out goes to our wonderful Principal Miss Katie for showing our lovely students that with enough hard work and dedication anything is possible!

World Ballet Day will return on Thursday 29 October, and this year's theme is How Stories Are Made.

The Royal Ballet will present a three-hour livestream, beginning with daily Company Class, before moving into rehearsals and conversations exploring the transmission of knowledge, and sharing how choreography is passed on to new generations

We'll be taking audiences inside the rehearsal room to discover how teaching and coaching bring ballet to life, and we're excited to be featuring The Royal Ballet School and Birmingham Royal Ballet in our livestream.

The stream will also be supported with BSL and an Audio Description service.
