Today’s talk explored the different kinds of bias that quietly shape our perceptions, decisions, and even our sense of truth. From confirmation bias to social influence, it’s striking how often we’re not thinking independently, but filtering reality through lenses we didn’t choose. (Shoutout to the visuals from yourbias.is. These are a brilliant resource for making these discussions so engaging)
The challenge isn’t to eliminate bias completely, that’s probably impossible. The challenge is to notice it. To question it. To ask: “Is this really true, or just familiar?”
