Afternoon everyone! This is a shameless plug for you all to get down to Judson's in Pocklington on 21st March! Our OG bassist, and sometimes front man James is performing a shed load of bangers with Dani!
James and Dani have performed all over the world on top cruise ships and now they're back on dry land, are bringing their musical goodness to YO42! The music kicks off at 9pm so make sure you come down for a great night!

A very Happy New Year! We hope everyone’s doing well! It’s time to emerge from hibernation, crank the amps, and plug in the mics! We’re back! February is a quiet one for us, BUT we return to the stage on Saturday with a 60th Birthday in York!

A very Happy New Year from everyone involved in The Mixtapes! We've been enjoying some well earned down time, but are still all very busy with other musical endeavor's! We had an awesome time playing for a 70th birthday party and a black-tie ball — two incredible crowds that kept the dance floor buzzing all night! 💃🕺

Ladies and Gentlemen! Our FINAL TWO public gigs of 2025 are almost upon us!

This Sunday we return to our wonderful friends at THOR'S tipi in York’s beautiful Museum Gardens, where we shall be taking to the stage (corner of the Tipi) at 4pm!

Expect songs you know, songs you don’t know, and maybe even the odd spoooooooky song as it’s Halloween soon! 👻

Then on the 29th November, we make return to the wonderful Judson's Bar in Pocklington where we shall be playing from 9pm!

Essentially, two incredible venues, one moderately competent function band, and your goodselves! A match made in heaven!

Hello to all our new followers and thanks for joining us on this musical adventure! 14 years in, and still going strong!

We are The Mixtapes and we’re a band who play lots of songs, to lots of people, in lots of venues every year! It’s mainly weddings and corporate events these days but we work with a very select number of public venues to host gigs throughout the year.

We’re not put together by an agency, or straight out of music college with 35 songs we can play, we’re the real deal with lots of great reviews from great (real) people, who we’ve not had to pay-honest!

On top of this our collective have vast amounts of experience in the industry, from Cruise Ships to Caravan Parks, West End Theatres to West Country Caves, and Barbados to Bridlington! We know how to work with venues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure your event is one you’ll not forget!

We had a brilliant weekend of gigs just gone, with Darren’s suprise 50th party on Friday at the wonderful Kilnwick Percy Golf Club followed by the incredible wedding of Dan and Jen at the stunning Crathorne Hall Hotel near Stokesley where we were joined by Ash Garfitt on Sax for an awesome evening of bangers! (Sax add-ons available for all Mixtapes gigs)

Thanks to everyone who’s booked us, especially wedding clients this year, it’s been another brilliant season and we are delighted to have been so busy yet again!

This Friday, 26th September we’ll be bringing the noise to Judson’s in Pocklington! It’s our second gig here, and after the success of the first one, we can’t wait to return!

Well York! We’re back for another year! Live for Leonard’s returns to Parliament Street and this Sunday 21st September at 7:30pm we’ll be taking to the stage for the third year in a row! Come on down, eat some amazing food, drink some refreshing beverages, and forget that you’ve (probably) got work on Monday!
