I’m not organising the market at the Castle Museum this year — has taken over the reins. But I do want to flag something important:

There are fake event pages and ticket links popping up online. Please don’t get caught out.

👉 The real event is called:

❌ The real event does not use the word Halloween in its name.
✅ Official posts will usually feature a picture of Black Phillip and will only come from Room Spell Candles, Dan Oliver Gott, or one of the official traders.

🎟 Tickets are ONLY available through Eventbrite.
If you see anything else, it’s a scam. Please report it or let the organisers know so they can have it removed.

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ‼️

It has come to our attention that the page "We Are Yorkshire" is once again advertising FAKE EVENTS related to our Halloween Night Market.

They are ALREADY falsely advertising and claiming to organise the event for 2025, even though no dates have been announced, and the venue has not been booked. They are also advertising it as free to attend, which is completely untrue.

The Halloween Night Market is held inside York Castle Museum, and will always have strict ticketing requirements to ensure we stay within capacity for fire safety and legal regulations.

We want to make it crystal clear that this page has no connection to the Halloween Night Market. They are only using these false events to spam, sell their products, and scam stallholders out of money.

We are deeply frustrated by their repeated interference, which made organising this years event far more difficult than it should have been.

Please help us by sharing this post to spread awareness and ensure no one falls victim to their scams.

👻✨ For a spooktacular and smooth event, please take a moment to check out the following info:

⚠️🚨 Important Notice: This event is TICKET ONLY and completely SOLD OUT! There will be NO tickets available on the door. 🚨⚠️

🎃 Arrival Time: Please arrive only at the start time of your allocated ticket slot. Unfortunately, we cannot allow entry before your time slot begins. You may need to queue outside briefly, so please dress accordingly for the weather.

👻 Parking: Available at the Castle car park opposite the museum entrance from 6 PM for £4 all night (£1 with a York Residents Minster Badge or free for blue badge holders).

🎃 Food Stalls: Cold pre-packaged items will be available for take-home ONLY. No on-site eating or drinking is allowed to preserve Kirkgate's delicate environment.

👻 Payments: Please bring cash as limited signal in the venue may affect card transactions, though most stallholders do accept card payments.

🎃 Pushchairs: For safety reasons, the venue kindly requests that pushchairs are parked in the designated area at the front entrance.

👻 Under 16s: All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

🎃 Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible, though please note that Kirkgate has cobblestones.

👻 No Dogs Allowed: Only assistance/guide dogs (in proper attire) are permitted at the event.

🚨 This event is TICKET ONLY and ALL TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT – none will be available at the door or released further. No ticket, no entry.

🚫 There have been FAKE EVENTS on Facebook claiming the market is free to attend. This is NOT true. I apologise for any confusion, but this is beyond my control!
