We are planning to launch our Bloomberg Connects app! This is a wonderful way for us to showcase the Hall, and for the public to learn all about the life of Taylors.

The app is free to users and will help guide visitors around the hall, introducing the world to the company of Merchant Taylors in York and all the fascinating history in our city!

Our new book! Launch at the Merchant Taylors Hall in York - 20th May 2025 🥳🥳

This month sees the publication of our new book about the work of Barley Studio – ‘Illuminating Stained Glass: Creativity, Conservation and Craft’
The publishers are Lund Humphries ‘Publishers on Art, Architecture and Design since 1939’

In 2023, stained glass window making was added to the Heritage Crafts Association’s Red List of endangered crafts.

Yesterday we began transforming the hall into a fashion runway to host a collection of seven designers, fifty models, musicians, sound and lighting engineers, organisers and more! The hall has the privilege of hosting those involved to showcase these incredible individuals’ talents.
The fabulous actor and model .winkley has been directing the art of runway modelling, and we can’t wait for the event to begin!
