The Measure of a Mason

Principles do not bend. But men, men are made of softer clay. They yield when comfort calls, when silence feels safer than truth spoken aloud.
They fold when no eyes are watching, when the cost of conviction outweighs the ease of retreat.
But as Masons we are taught to rise. Not for the echo of applause, nor the gilded robe of pride, but for the still voice within that whispers, Right is still right, even when it hurts, even when it walks alone.
The world will beckon: Sit down. Stay quiet. Drift with the tide.
But the Craft calls Masons upward, to the summit of self, to the altar of integrity.
Stand firm. Let your posture preach what your lips need not say. Square your steps remembering the Great Architect watches, and as if the stars themselves take measure of your soul.
Be the Mason who does not fold when the fire comes. Be the Mason who remembers that honor is not forged in comfort, but in the crucible where light meets trial and still chooses to shine.
