🏌🏻‍♂️ A great day at Moortown Golf Club, with Hurdy playing alongside 2014 Ryder Cup hero Jamie Donaldson!

🏆 Donaldson is in fine form, having claimed victory at the Staysure Marbella Legends earlier this year.

⛳️ It was a fitting venue for a Ryder Cup star, as Moortown hosted the competition in 1929, the first time it was played on British soil. With the course in superb condition, it was a brilliant day of golf at a venue steeped in golfing history.

Yesterday, our CONNECT members and their guests played at Ganton Golf Club for the CONNECT Ryder Cup. It was brilliant to be joined by six-time Ryder Cup player Howard Clarke, and with the course in pristine condition, it was a round of golf to remember.

The Ryder Cup format was fiercely contested, with Team Europe making a strong start by winning the opening 3 points. Team USA then fought back to take 6.5 of the remaining 9 points and win the CONNECT Ryder Cup. Kieran Dixon and Lee Scargill also came out on top in the pairs competition, posting an impressive 46 points.

As our final event of the 2026 CONNECT programme, we’d like to thank all our members and their guests for making every event so memorable and helping make it a truly wonderful year.
