Hi all,
I am posting this with permission from the parents that we did a disco for on Saturday.
We did a 7yo birthday party and a group of children at the party were very badly behaved. They purposely popped all the balloons within 5mins of the party starting, purposely knocked our bubble machine out our hands braking it and making it unusable for the rest of the party, trying to trip up as many children as possible (including the birthday child) with some getting very upset as they got hurt, not wanting to get involved at all with any of the party games and entertainment etc and also throwing bits of food while eating at the children.
The birthday child was very upset 30mins in to the party and didn't want to join in at all after that. Not to mention the parents of the birthday child constantly telling the children off for misbehaving.
Most of the parents of the children dropped them off and left leaving the birthday childs family to sort out the misbehaving children every 10mins.
They told us after, their child and themselves were very upset and didn't enjoy the party (not because of us) but because of these misbehaving children.
Please please please, think about all the efforts the birthday childs family go through to make sure their child has a great party. All ruined because of a group of children. Please think twice before leaving your child at a party if they are known to be a bit "excited"
Remember, it's not free child care for 2 hours. Stay if needed with your child and enjoy the party with them and let the birthday childs parents enjoy it with them as they put a lot of effect in to it.
