We are delighted to confirm Woodspring 27 will be on July 10th and 11th next year and plans are already underway to make it the best yet! We’ll be publishing more information in the Autumn but wanted to get the date out there for your diaries.

Friday August 14th was a very special day for the Woodspring Wings club. We hosted out first Children’s Model Experience day and were delighted to welcome 22 children plus parents to the field on an ideal day weather wise. Masterminded by our own Sharon Stiles, assisted by Martin Thompson and with the help of manyWW members it was a brilliant success and enjoyed by all.

There were 3 groups for each session ( AM and PM) and they took it in turns to do an hour on

Flight Simulators

Building and flying BMFA Darts

Buddy box flying from the runway

All the left with their Darts and as a bonus a complimentary ticket for Woodspring 27 show on July 10th and 11th next year. They were also given contact details to arrange return visits and were pretty sure we’ll be seeing more of them. All agreed it was well worth the £10 ticket fee.

As a hobby we need our next generations and Sharon has come up with a great way to spread the word and it actually made a really good day for the club members so a real win win.

Well we thought it’s time to remind everyone we are still going ahead with our fly in on the same weekend we normally run the show, the second in July. This will be for modellers ( and companions) only and will not have any traders, catering etc. We will publish a form shortly for anyone who wants to come and fly , with contact info etc.
We’re looking forward to sharing our lovely model airfield, complete with 100m tarmac runway, with our fellow modellers !
