There’s something about a low compote that I will always love.

These were some of the table flowers from last week’s wedding, filled with a late summer mix of ivory, cream, blush and those deeper clove tones.

Low arrangements are such a lovely choice for wedding tables. They bring plenty of flowers to the table without getting in the way of conversation, and when you add beautiful glassware and candlelight, you really don’t need much else.

And a little reminder if you’re currently planning your wedding flowers. We don’t operate a minimum spend, so whether you’re looking for flowers for an intimate wedding, a few beautifully considered arrangements, or florals throughout your entire day, we can create something that works for you.

Because beautiful wedding flowers don’t have to mean filling every available surface with them. Sometimes a few really lovely arrangements are all you need.

Yesterday’s wedding was a rather lovely way to spend a Saturday.

A & J were married at beautiful Berkeley Castle and, after the weather we’ve had lately, I think we were all very grateful for a day that was neither too hot, too cold nor raining. Pretty much perfect outdoor ceremony weather.

We decorated the ceremony with large urns overflowing with flowers, alongside smaller arrangements to bring the whole space together. With the castle as the backdrop, it really didn’t need much else.

Inside, the Great Hall was set for the wedding breakfast with tall floral risers and low compotes, filling the room with flowers while still allowing everyone to see and chat across the tables.

The colour palette was ivory, cream and blush with touches of clove running throughout. Soft and romantic, but with just enough depth to hint that we’re slowly moving towards autumn.

I think late summer might just have some of the loveliest colour palettes of the whole wedding season.

It’s been rather quiet around here.

Not because there hasn’t been anything to share. Quite the opposite really. Wedding season has been busy, the camera roll is overflowing and somehow posting to Instagram has kept finding its way to the bottom of the list.

So, I thought it was probably time to change that.

There are so many beautiful weddings from this year that I haven’t shared yet, along with plenty of flowers, venues and little behind the scenes moments.

I’m going to start here with a few favourites and attempt to make my way through the rather enormous backlog.

If you’re new here, I’m Becci. I’ve been a florist for almost 30 years and these days I specialise in creating relaxed, seasonal wedding flowers across the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire and the South West.

Expect plenty more flowers around here again.

A little something different from me this weekend.

Yesterday I helped with the loveliest baby shower and it was so nice to get involved in more than just the flowers.

I designed all of the signage, including drawing the little teddy bear by hand, which I have to admit I’m quite proud of. The beautiful arched backdrop was actually made by the dad to be. I added all of the lettering and decals, with a little help (actually a lot!) from my lovely sister in law who had organised the baby shower and I think it all came together so beautifully.

My favourite part of the day though had to be the flower bar. Buckets full of beautiful blooms for everyone to choose from before I wrapped them into their own bouquets to take home. It was lovely chatting to everyone while they picked out their favourite flowers and seeing each bouquet come together.

It’s not every day I get to work on something like this, but I absolutely loved being part of it.

Safe to say there weren’t many flowers left by the end of the afternoon, just lots of very happy guests heading home with bouquets in hand.

It’s been a little while since I last posted and I think that’s a good indication of just how busy this wedding season has been.

On Monday we had the pleasure of creating the flowers for L & S at the beautiful Manor by the Lake.

Their palette was a timeless combination of white, cream and green, with the green coming through the flowers rather than foliage to create a fresh, refined look.

For the outdoor ceremony we designed a split floral arch to frame the gazebo, paired with generous aisle meadows that welcomed guests into the space. Inside for the wedding breakfast, the tables were dressed with low compote arrangements, bud vases and candlelight, while three suspended floral installations added impact overhead and tied the whole room together.

It was one of those weddings where every space felt considered and beautifully connected. It was also so lovely to see

We love receiving feedback like this 💕

Rebecca was one of the first suppliers we booked for our wedding and what a fantastic decision that was!! From the initial call with Becci we felt in safe hands. The florals exceeded all expectations, the selection of flowers were gorgeous and the ex*****on was STUNNING! We left the creativity to her and she smashed it out of the park. We received so many compliments on the flowers, the gallery in the main barn in particular which was truly a masterpiece!
We have to extend a special thank you to Becci’s mum who was with her on the day, helping to set up the flowers and the gallery.

We had a house full of flowers for over a week after the wedding and couldn’t have been happier with that - they were absolutely beautiful.

Thank you Becci for bringing to life a vision better than we could’ve imagined!

On Thursday we had the pleasure of filling Thornbury Castle with flowers for a beautifully considered event.

The brief was quintessential English, with a relaxed, just-gathered feel. Soft layers of spring flowers, plenty of movement, and a palette that felt at home against the warmth of the Tudor hall.

We created a full door arch to welcome guests in, delicate table centres for an intimate feel, and added focal arrangements throughout the space to gently draw your eye around the room.

A setting like this really doesn’t need overworking… it’s about enhancing what’s already there.
