What actually happens when your dog steps into a Barn Hunt session? 🐾

For a lot of dogs (and owners!), the unknown can feel like the biggest hurdle—so here’s a simple breakdown of how we set them up to succeed from the very start 👇

We don’t rush straight into “searching.” Dogs are given time to enter the barn and take in the environment without pressure. This helps them feel safe, relaxed, and ready to engage.

✨ Step 2: Introducing the scent
We gently introduce the rat scent in a clear, simple way—helping your dog understand what they’re looking for. This is where the lightbulb moment often happens 💡

✨ Step 3: Encouraging the search
Once they’ve made that connection, we allow them to start problem-solving—using their nose and instincts to locate the scent within the bales with more challenging hides.
