What a gloriously sunny day we had celebrating Kelsae and Jamie's wedding!
From the very beginning, we knew this ceremony was going to be a little different.

Before the guests had even taken their seats, Jamie had secretly hidden water pistols amongst the chairs. Why? Well, on one of the hottest days of the year, he and his groomsmen made their entrance armed and ready, giving everyone a very refreshing welcome to the ceremony!

Alongside the laughter, there were also some beautifully heartfelt moments. We lit a Unity Candle to remember family members who could not be with us, but who were very much present in everyone's hearts.

We shared the story of "The Wilko Boy," smiled our way through personalised vows and promises, and celebrated a love story that has grown through life's ordinary moments and extraordinary milestones.

The plan was for a full family handfasting with all four of their daughters. The reality? One little one was fast asleep, another decided running around the gardens was a far better use of her time (as only small children can!), so in the end it was Kelsae, Jamie and two of their girls who quite wonderfully tied the knot together.

Was it perfectly choreographed? Not even slightly. Was it full of love, laughter, personality and family chaos? Absolutely.
And honestly, that's exactly what made it so special. No boring ceremonies here!

Congratulations, Kelsae & Jamie. Thank you for letting me share in such a joyful, beautifully chaotic and completely unforgettable day. I wish you every happiness 😊

Proposal stories... they're always some of my favourite parts of a couple's love story.

Today marks 14 years since my own proposal, when Dean proposed to me, so I thought I'd share it with you all.

It was the 1st of June 2012. A beautiful warm evening beside the River Arun. The pubs were full, people were out celebrating the Queen's Jubilee, and the sounds of laughter and celebration drifted through the air.

Meanwhile, Dean was quietly melting.

Not from nerves alone, but because he had chosen to wear the thickest winter coat imaginable on one of the warmest June evenings, simply to hide the ring. By the time we reached the riverbank, he must have been absolutely boiling!

Then he got down on one knee and asked:

"Amanda, will you marry me?"

My response?: "Are you sure?"

Slightly confused, he asked again. My response: "Are you really sure?"

At this point, patience was beginning to wear a little thin. So, for the third and final time, he asked me to marry him, before adding:

"If I have to ask one more time, I'll throw you in the river!"

Thankfully, I finally said yes. It was always a yes, 100 times over, I was just a bit shocked! ❀️

Fourteen years later, I still smile when I think about that moment. As a celebrant, I get to hear the most wonderful proposal stories, but this one will always be my favourite. Not because it was perfect, but because it was us. Full of love, laughter, and apparently a very real threat of an unexpected swim in the River Arun!

So here's to proposal stories, the moments that change everything, and to the person brave enough to ask the question... sometimes more than once...

What a day we had celebrating Kim & Daz on 24th May 2026!

After an engagement that lasted an incredible 19 years, their wedding day was certainly worth the wait.

With the sunshine beaming down on the garden ceremony, family and friends gathered to witness a love story that has stood the test of time. Being a football-mad family, it felt only right that the ceremony included a full crowd rendition of Sweet Caroline, and honestly, I don't think there was a single person who didn't join in!

The celebrations were rounded off perfectly with a toast of Tequila Rose, raised high as everyone wished Kim & Daz a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and many more years cheering from the sidelines together.

The guests were entertained by , who were fantastic!

Congratulations, Daz and Kim. After 19 years, the final whistle blew on the engagement, and the next exciting chapter has officially kicked off. ⚽πŸ₯‚❀️

The happiest of 1st Anniversaries to Cat & Gareth πŸ’—

What a truly wonderful family wedding day this was.

There are so many moments I remember, but one that still makes me smile was their eldest arriving at the ceremony in a remote-control tractor. During the rehearsal, no matter what we tried, we couldn't persuade him to crack a smile. But later on for the ceremony? Give that little boy a room full of people cheering, waving, and willing him on, and he absolutely stole the show. He was fabulous!

A day filled with love, laughter, family, and so many special memories. The kind of wedding that reminds you what it's all about. Its couples like Cat and Gareth that make me feel so proud to be thier celebrant, sharing thier story and celebrating thier bond.

Wishing Cat, Gareth, and their beautiful family the most wonderful anniversary and many more happy adventures together.

What a truly beautiful afternoon we shared last Friday at Long Furlong Barn.

With a 5pm ceremony and the golden evening sunshine beginning to settle over the Sussex Downs, Jennifer and David couldn't have asked for a more breathtaking backdrop to begin married life together.

Their ceremony was filled with love, meaning, and so many personal touches. One of the most memorable moments came from David's aunt, who had written a reading especially for the occasion. Delivered in her rich Scottish accent, every word felt heartfelt and genuine, leaving not many dry eyes in the room.
And then there was Jennifer.

I knew she would look incredible, but when she arrived, she quite literally took David's breath away. Her stunning gown featured a detachable circular train, lovingly created by Jane after countless hours of craftsmanship. It was completely unique and unlike anything I've ever seen before, a true work of art that perfectly reflected Jennifer's style and personality.

Surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and so much love, it was a privilege to tell their story and celebrate the next chapter of their lives together.

A huge thank you to Poppy and the wonderful team at Long Furlong Barn for looking after Dean and I so beautifully throughout the day. It is always a pleasure to work alongside such a fantastic team.

Jennifer & David, thank you for trusting me with your story. I wish you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and happiness together.

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to Cara & Lynnie! πŸ’šβœ¨

I hope your off somewhere wonderfully swankified today, celebrating one whole year of marriage in true Wicked style.

Their wedding was overflowing with wicked goodness, theatrical touches, and enough emerald green to turn every head in the room.

One of the most beautiful moments of the ceremony was when they quite literally set their vows in stone, whilst all of their guests held pebbles collected from the beaches of Blackpool and Worthing… a perfect North and South collaboration, brought together with love, laughter, and a little bit of magic. It's time to tip your pebbles out and read your first anniversary letters βœ‰οΈ

A ceremony that proved that the best love stories happen when two people come together and completely change each other β€œfor good.” πŸ’šπŸ–€
