Yesterday was world Bee day. Here are some interesting facts about bees.

1. Bees talk by dancing!
Honeybees do a special โwaggle danceโ to tell their friends where to find yummy flowers full of nectar.
2. Bees have five eyes! ๐
They have two big eyes and three tiny eyes on top of their head to help them see in all directions.
3. One bee makes only 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its whole life! ๐ฏ
That means it takes hundreds of bees to make just one small jar!
4. Bees flap their wings 200 times every second!
Thatโs why they sound so buzzy when they fly โ itโs their tiny wings working super fast!
5. Bees live in a big family called a hive.
A hive can have up to 60,000 bees working together โ thatโs like a whole bee city!
6. Thereโs one queen bee in every hive. ๐
Sheโs the boss bee and lays all the eggs โ sometimes more than 1,500 eggs a day!
7. Bees love blue and purple flowers the most. ๐ธ๐
Theyโre like bee magnets!
8. Bees help grow fruits and veggies. ๐๐ฅ
When bees visit flowers, they help plants grow the foods we eat. Thatโs called pollination, and itโs super important!
9. Bees have super sniffers.
They can smell flowers from far away using their antennae โ like a built-in flower detector!
10. Not all bees live in hives!
Some bees, like bumblebees and solitary bees, live in the ground or in little holes in trees and walls.
