Let me inspire you!
This story comes from a place, on how I felt some 20 years ago!
I was that bored housewife who needed a hobby!
Imagine this, I was 39, I have 2 young children, a loving and supportive husband, a lovely home and a dog! I was working part time in a school. Everything was OK, but something was missing. I suddenly woke up one morning and realised, I'd lost my identity!!!!
I'd given my whole being to look after everyone and had lost myself along the way.
I wasn't depressed I just needed to find a hobby and do something for myself. So, I enrolled in a Reflexology course. On the day of enrollment, there was 14 people signed up and the tutor stood at the front of the class and said this course is the equivalent of taking an NVQ and is not for the bored housewife! To this day I don't know how she knew!!
She asked us all to stand up and say our name and tell us why we were enrolling.
I was the last person to stand up and, two my horror, everyone before me told their stories. We had a class of Osteopaths, Nurses, Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, Carers and me! I took a deep breath, dusted myself off, I had not enrolled to fail!!
I stood proud, took the hand of my frightened inner child and said my name, and my why!
