🎪 Punch & Judy Summer Update from Ben Bamboozle 🎪

I’ve had a few people asking which days I’ll be performing my Punch and Judy show at the Urban Beach in Worthing town centre this summer.

Unfortunately, despite being featured in the Summer in Worthing video by , I haven’t actually been booked this year. It’s a real shame, as I’ve been performing at the urban beach (town centre sandpit) since 2013 and have built up a lovely following of fans.

I’ll especially miss seeing — the brilliant Bob Smytherman, Worthing & Adur Town Crier — pictured here with Mini Bob and the Bonfire Society reading the Riot Act! 📜🔥

There’s been a change of management since the days when Sharon used to book me, and although I did email back in February, I didn’t hear back. I also haven’t been booked for the Food & Drink Festival this year.

But don’t worry — I’m still flat-out busy in August!

Yesterday, we lost a legend — John Styles MBE. Without doubt, he was the greatest Punch and Judy professor of all time, as well as an incredible magician and comedian. His list of achievements was second to none.

John was the ultimate gentleman: always immaculately dressed, always generous with his time, and always kind. He was especially kind to me, and I’ll miss him deeply.

I remember years ago, someone asked him how you could tell if a Punch and Judy show was any good. John’s reply?
“If it says John Styles on the proscenium!”

My thoughts are with Robert and the family at this very sad time.
