Coffee, and wedding planning with Mhairi and Stefann.

Yesterday, I caught up with this wonderful couple to map out the final details for their gorgeous August wedding ceremony. I still pinch myself when I think about how we met.

Last year, we crossed paths at the Webbington Hotel wedding fayre which also happens to be their stunning wedding venue!

When we first started chatting, S & M had already booked a registrar, simply because they thought it was their only option.

But as we talked, their eyes lit up at the idea of a fully personalised celebrant ceremony, one that actually tells their unique love story, full of laughs and zero restrictions and one where they can fully involve their gorgeous daughter.

They walked away to browse other suppliers, but their hearts were set. Just an hour later, they came back to my stand and said, “We’re in!” 🥂
They smartly switched their registrar booking to a simple “2+2” statutory ceremony, freeing them up to have the bespoke ceremony of their absolute dreams with me this August.

Guys, I cannot wait to stand with you both this summer.

I am still absolutely buzzing from catching up with these two amazing men ahead of their big day this July! 🥂✨

We were finalising the finishing touches for their ceremony at the breathtaking St Audries Park.

They are entirely “one of a kind,” and their love story is exactly the kind of magic I get to bring to life.

As a wedding celebrant, my absolute favourite part of the job is taking your unique, wonderful, quirky love and weaving it into a ceremony that feels 100% you.

No boring or restrictive scripts, just pure, authentic, heartfelt joy (and probably a bit of brilliant banter!).

I get asked a lot what a “connection call” actually is. To be honest, it’s exactly what it sounds like.

It’s not a high pressure sales pitch or a formal interview. It’s just a nice, relaxed chat where we get to know each other over a cuppa or a glass of fizz.

Your wedding ceremony is the heart of your big day, and you deserve to have someone standing there who feels like a friend. During our call, we’ll talk about:

• Your Story: How did you meet? What makes your relationship tick?

• Your Vision: Are you dreaming of something traditional, or are we breaking all the rules?

52 years later, and the magic is just getting started! ✨💍

It was an absolute honour to officiate the wedding vow renewal for the incredible Dave and Lesley at the stunning

The day was filled with so many personal, heart stirring moments:

• The Grand Entrance: The groom set the stage with his own solo entrance before the bride made her beautiful appearance.

• A Circle of Love: A dear friend shared a moving reading that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house.

• Surprise ring bearers: we hid their rings under the chairs for two lucky guests to find.

• Eight Grandchildren, One Bond: For the handfasting ceremony, all 8 grandchildren joined in, each placing a ribbon over their grandparents’ hands to symbolize the family legacy they’ve built together.

• A Joyful Tribute: We took a moment to remember loved ones no longer with us with a beautiful medley, ending in a full room singalong to Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds, because truly, every little thing is gonna be alright.

During our meeting today, Abbie and Tony and I did just that, over coffee and cake. We laughed, we listened, and we uncovered the intimate details that will make their ceremony truly memorable. It’s an honour to be a part of their story, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful ceremony we create together.
