Following a series of stunning demonstrations at Fleurex 2025, we’re delighted to welcome Daniel Santamaria for an in-depth, hands-on workshop at our European Floristry School.🌿
Known for designs shaped by contrast balancing asymmetry, tone, texture and proportion Daniel blends technical skill with creativity and emotion. His practical, experience led teaching style invites participants to learn by doing, refining their craft while connecting more deeply with their own creative voice.🌿
During this workshop, Daniel will share his expert techniques and insider knowledge, guiding you step by step as you create your own striking structural design using his signature construction methods and distinctive style. 🌿

If you would much rather be sharing your beautiful flowers on Instagram than talking on camera then this is for you…📸💐

Although the idea of talking on camera probably feels scary truth is you talk to your customers all the time so why not let them meet you on Instagram first. When your customers get to see you in your Stories & Reel it makes a real difference to how they connected they feel to you and your floristry business.

Lou Chudley from  is running a new online course called The Showing Up Project to help you get past the fear and start to get comfortable with talking on camera in your Stories and Reels

The course starts next Tuesday June 16th and it’s a mix of live weekly sessions and daily prompts and challenges to get you past the fear and start talking to camera.

And Lou has set up a special discount code for BFA members so you can book for £180 or two split payments of £90 instead of  the full price of £220 or two split payments of £110. Use the code posted in the members area of the website when you book.

SUPPORTING THE CONNECTION BOUQUETS PROJECT with our friends
 
To celebrate 10 years of Loneliness Awareness Week, taking place from 15–21 June, the British Florist Association is delighted to be supporting the Connection Bouquets project in partnership with The Marmalade Trust.
 
This wonderful initiative invites florists across the UK and Ireland to create small bouquets and leave them in their local area for someone to find, enjoy, and pass on. It is a simple gesture, but one that can make a real difference. As florists, we all know the joy that receiving flowers can bring, and this is a lovely way to help promote connection, kindness, and the important work of The Marmalade Trust.
 
We are also pleased to be supporting this project alongside friends from across the industry, including The Good Florist Guide and The Institute of Flowers Ireland. Together, we can show what florists can achieve when we work together for a great cause.
 
During Loneliness Awareness Week, we would love BFA members to take part by creating one or more small bouquets and leaving them in interesting, beautiful, or thoughtful places in their local area.

What a fantastic day supporting Perennial at Fullers Mill! 🌿💐

Guests were treated to beautiful floristry demonstrations from Morgan and Katrina, showcasing their incredible talent and creativity. The day concluded with a charity raffle and auction, helping to raise valuable funds for a wonderful cause.🌿
