❤︎ Happy Mother’s Day

To all my wonderful brides… past, present, and future.

❤︎ Whether you are already a mum, expecting a little one, or dreaming of the family that will grow from your love story…

❤︎ Today is for you.

❤︎ Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, laughter, and sweet moments.

❤︎ I’ve been quietly working on a Mother’s Day cake collaboration with Vanilla Valley… and tonight you finally get to see it.

❤︎ This year’s Mother’s Day design has been created in collaboration with the wonderful team at Vanilla Valley. Winners of the D’licious Magazine Finishing Touches Award 2025.

❤︎ As the recipient of the D’licious Magazine Best Cake Sugar Art Award 2025, creating something meaningful and technically beautiful felt like the only way to honour the occasion, as it was through motherhood that I fell in love with the art of cake.

❤︎ Tonight I will be revealing a design that celebrates mothers through sugar art.

❤︎ If you are a fellow cake maker looking for a unique Mother’s Day idea, this one might just inspire you.

❤︎ The best part. There is still time to order everything you need from Vanilla Valley and recreate the design in time for Mother’s Day next Sunday.

❤︎ The full reveal is coming later tonight.

❤︎ Stay close by following my page.

❤︎ No templates. No repeats.
❤︎ One couple. One cake. One story.

❤︎ Not all white wedding cakes are the same

❤︎ Here is a sneak peak at the couture wedding cake details made for Lucy & Christopher at Hazel Gap Barn

❤︎ Lucy envisioned a romantic luxury wedding cake that felt refined, feminine and minimalist for her Hazel Gap Barn wedding. A design that honoured tradition while sitting effortlessly within a contemporary barn venue in nottinghamshire.

❤︎ Hand cut icing monogram.
Pearl detailing scattered like quiet champagne bubbles.
Point de france lace interpreted in royal icing.
An edible crinkled silk bow crafted from wafer paper for movement and texture.

❤︎ A bespoke white wedding cake designed to complement exposed brick, warm barn interiors and countryside elegance.

❤︎ Romantic. Textural. Subtle.
A balance of softness and structure.

❤︎ Created using Saracino pasta top for a flawless luxury finish, Saracino wafer paper for sculptural softness, and Saracino royal icing for intricate lacework precision.

⚜️Inspired by tradition, designed for today.❤︎

❤︎This design is entitled “Ingrid”, named after the bride it was created for.

❤︎Ingrid was designed for a wedding ceremony at Sheffield Cathedral, followed by a reception at Buxton Crescent Hotel. Two historic settings, each with their own presence, scale, and architectural language.

❤︎The design draws from classic wedding cake styling and heritage influence. Structured tiers. Iced monogram plague. Pearl and baroque rosette swags. Sugar mistletoe chosen to reflect a winter wedding and seasonal symbolism. Every detail was designed to transition seamlessly from cathedral ceremony to grand hotel reception.

❤︎The black ribbon was a last-minute addition. A subtle refinement made possible because Anesha’s Art of Cakes works with one couple per week, allowing flexibility and thoughtful changes right through to the final stages.

❤︎Being invited into a couple’s love story is never something I take lightly. Every wedding carries meaning far beyond the day itself. Translating that into a centrepiece is both a responsibility and a privilege.

❤︎I’ll be sharing Ingrid and David’s story in the next post.

❤︎More details to follow.

Some wedding cakes are inspired. Others are thoughtfully commissioned.

Edible lace.
Pearl swags.
A bespoke monogram.
Soft structure
Classical restraint

This cake was designed to belong in its setting.
Not to compete with it. Not to overwhelm the room.
But to feel as though it had always been there just for my lovely couple

I’m sharing only the details for now.
The full reveal comes later.

✨ Based on the venue alone, how many tiers do you think this cake might be?

Clue: it was created for Buxton Crescent Hotel Winter Wedding

Your wedding cake should feel unmistakably yours.
Not a replica. Not a repeat.

This isn’t just a tropical wedding cake.
It’s a bespoke cultural wedding cake, designed with story, memory, and intention at its core.

Tropical Majesty is a luxury sugar-art wedding cake inspired by my Trinidadian heritage 🇹🇹. Created for the January 2026 issue of We Love Pastry, in collaboration with the incomparable 🇮🇹 and .options 🇬🇧.

The design draws from Caribbean architecture and botanical heritage. Aged stone textures created using sugar paste techniques with Pasta Cover. Palm fronds. Chaconia. Anthuriums. Swiss cheese vine. Each element handcrafted in flower paste by Arati Mirji. Every decision made with balance, structure, and quiet confidence.

Although created as a magazine tutorial, this piece reflects exactly how I work with couples planning multicultural weddings, Caribbean weddings, and heritage-led celebrations across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and the East Midlands.

This is how I translate culture, memory, and personal story into a wedding cake that feels refined, meaningful, and timeless.
Not trend-led. Never generic.
Timeless, and entirely you.

If you’re planning a wedding and want a bespoke luxury wedding cake that honours who you are and where you come from, I’d love to hear about your plans.

About Me

Hello, I'm Anesha the cake decorator and owner of Anesha's Art of Cakes. I'm Trinidadian and I live in Worksop with my husband and our beautiful daughter and son. My love for creative arts and cooking started in early childhood. Six years ago I started baking and decorating birthday cakes for my children just like my mum did for me and my grandmother did for her. I am trained in Art of Sugar by some of the UK's leading artists including Alan Dunn, Zoe Hopkinson, Paul Bradford, Nicolas Lodge and Trinidadian based Hassrah Mohammed who herself has trained alongside sugar-craft legends Alan Dunn and Tombi Peck. It wasn't long before I decided that I wanted to leave my career as an Optician to devote my time to the things I was most passionate about; motherhood and a cake decorating. I take great pride in producing detailed beautiful sugar-art to your specification. My versatility is my strength and I love to see the delight in my client's faces when they see their cake for the first time. Contact me today I'd love to make your next cake [email protected]
