Today was a beautiful quintessential English summers day buffet. Brunch style theme -dressed salmon, home cooked ham, homemade quiche, eggs mayonnaise, smoked salmon bagels, two salads and breads. All finished off with a fresh fruit platter and local strawberries with a small cheeseboard. The doggo was an extra bonus - Otto - he was gorgeous and so well behaved but he did have his eye on my ham 🤣

Stunning location for a garden party yesterday for 82. The intense heat did cause issues for us and the guests who all huddled under a tree for shade at one point. Canapés and champagne then Paella cooked by Chef Ian with delicious salads and breads. All rounded off with local strawberries, lemon tiramisu, mango and raspberry pavlova and chocolate roulade alongside a cheeseboard. I’ve never seen butter melt in the shade like it before it was moving across the dish 🥵🥵🥵. Back today for round two - brunch for 53. Hoping to be finished before the afternoon heat peaks again.
Oh and whilst I’m there Ian is running a lovely little canapé party hopefully staying inside in the cool of the kitchen. Busy busy busy!

Lovely wedding catered on Saturday in the intense heat, but Chanterelles kept their cool and delivered a first class meal to the loveliest of customers.

Another massive day for Chanterelles Catering. A finger buffet for 250 for a very unusual and prestigious event - a knighthood to the Vatican. Truly a one off. Lovely event but boy was it busy and hot. I need to lie down now that’s been a busy few days.

Production line mince pie making today. All ready for the Belmont Care Home Christmas Fayre on Saturday 12-4pm. We have two sizes of mince pies - ordinary deep filled or little canapé size and then two standards - traditional with homemade sweet pastry or luxury with homemade orange sable pastry which is very biscuity in texture. Plus a couple of quiche Lorraine. Let me know if you would like to order any of these for your Xmas table. Prices on an earlier post.

Merry Christmas 🎄

Another successful evening of catering at the Worcester rowing club this time on Thursday evening. A very high river but still able to access the club. A lovely 2 course played meal for 40. The dessert was a nod to the 70’s iconic dessert Black Forest gateaux. This is a rich chocolate torte with black cherry compote and fresh cream.
