Along with Queen Charlotte and three of the princesses, he pronounced the Assembly Room on the top floor of The Guil

The portrait of the King - still hanging in the Assembly Room today - was presented by him to the city to commemorate his visit. But it’s not just royalty that can take advantage of one of the city's most beautiful buildings! Available to hire for up to 200 guests, The Guildhall is a perfect venue for a variety of occasions. The Guildhall has its own wedding license and is available to hire as a wedding venue. Being one of the most iconic buildings in Worcester, the Guildhall could be the perfect venue for you. The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Mel Allcott, and Consort Andy Lee, would like to invite you to their Pride and Prejudice themed Charity Banquet in the Assembly Room at the Guildhall on Friday 28th March 2025 at 6.45pm.

Organised in collaboration with the Mayor’s Charity, Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club, the evening will include a drinks reception with entertainment in the Lower Hall, a 3-course dinner in the Assembly Room with a full programme of live entertainment, a silent auction, live auction of donated items and a raffle.

Saturday 24 Aug is Ukrainian Independence Day – come to the Guildhall to Make Noise for Ukraine, 12-4pm. Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided, with a celebration of Ukrainian culture.
At 1pm the Ukrainian national anthem will be performed, followed by a minute’s silence to honour those who have died since the war began.
Give your vocal support to liberty.
We will not be silent when freedom is challenged.
