A productive afternoon for Spirit Events as Michelle Griffiths and Mollie Tipto joined Clermont Hotel Group and GOTO Events last week for networking, updates and hands‑on insight into their latest hotels.
We spent time exploring their upcoming plans, understanding what’s new across the hotel portfolio with The Clermont, The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle, The Cumberland Hotel London, The Royal Horseguards Hotel, The Tower Hotel London and their rooms, event & meeting spaces.

Last week the TIPTO SuperShow landed in Newcastle!
Over 100 agents joined us for a buzzing supplier trade fayre featuring 24 brilliant TIPTO supplier members.

After a packed session of conversations and connections, agents were treated to a delicious dinner and unmissable entertainment from Singing Waiters and The Live Music Quiz.

Delivered by incredible West End talent, the room was full of smiles, laughter and some very competitive quiz energy, with winning tables taking home a bundle of exciting prizes.

This week marks 5 years since Spirit Marketing & Events first began trading, and what an exciting 5 years it has been!

Starting an events business during the COVID pandemic wasn’t exactly the “normal” way to launch a company. With the travel industry paused and live events on hold, there was a lot of uncertainty, it required creativity, and a lot of belief in what the future of live events could look like.

Fast forward five years and we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. From managing the trade marketing organisation TIPTO for Travel Agents, delivering incredible awards ceremonies, hotel launch events, exceptional dinners, corporate hospitality and helping many brands find the perfect venues through our venue sourcing service, it has been both exciting and rewarding.

At the heart of everything we do is connection. Building strong relationships, bringing people together, and creating opportunities through events is what drives us every day.

A huge thank you to all the amazing clients we’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past five years. Your trust, collaboration, and partnership mean everything to us. A huge thank you to Kirstie & Emily from Malmaison & Hotel du Vin for inviting Team Spirit to Birmingham’s Hotel du Vin as part of their agent showcase.

We had a brilliant evening exploring the hotel’s bedrooms, event spaces and meeting rooms, followed by delicious wine tasting paired with a selection of lovely dishes!

A huge thank you to Julie Coates-Walker, Angela Colley-Francis, and the fantastic team at Arena Racing Company for a wonderful day at the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Saturday!

We enjoyed great company, superb hospitality in the marquee, and even a little sunshine between the showers… topped off with a small win in the 6th race!
