A tulip appreciation post to mark the end of my first growing season 🌷mainly a success with a few flops. They’ve taught me to be patient (they take an age to get going 😴) but once they bloom they’re well worth the wait. I’ve also learnt that’ll I’ll need thousands of bulbs rather than hundreds, which I don’t have space for at the moment. A good learning curve nonetheless, and now it’s time for the tubers to go in! 🥳

A pretty little side hustle whilst waiting for the tubers to go in. I can’t say they’ve given me the same buzz as the dahlias but they’re a good spring substitute, and coming home to the pop of colour in the garden is always a treat 🌷

New commission going out this week, a lovely combo of locally grown seed heads, statice and globe thistles 🌾 also starting to think ahead to the next dahlia season and getting rather excited with how it’ll develop. Lots of new colours and shapes are on order and I’m steadily going through last year’s tubers to see what’s survived. Roll on summer, and some more of this lovely sunshine please! 🙏🏼☀️
