Just a few canapés for an end of year event .backtobacks this afternoon and evening. Hope you all have a fabulous time!

Apologies for the state of some of the pics! We’re having the outside of our end wall ground out and re-mortared as it’s currently full of holes and open to the elements 😩. So the windows are covered in green tarpaulins while they do the dusty bit and my food pics have a lovely greenish tinge 🙈😆

My lovely customer admitted that getting ready for the party had been so easy as she hadn’t had to worry about the food. We all know buffet prep can be pretty stressy and tiring. Why not get someone else to do it…

🇱🇧Lebanese Feast🇱🇧

Yup, I’ve done Lebanese as a takeaway a couple of times before. It’s always a popular one, especially over the summer months. It’s light but satisfying, lip-smackingly tasty and fresh.

Here’s your menu…

🇱🇧Houmous with crispy chilli chickpeas
🇱🇧Batata harra - crispy potatoes with garlic, lemon & herbs
🇱🇧Djaj tawouk - marinated chicken breast pieces (or halloumi chunks), grilled until golden
🇱🇧Labneh with confit garlic & toasted pine nuts
🇱🇧Fattoush - super fresh salad with pitta chips & sumac
🇱🇧Homemade flatbreads with za’atar
🇱🇧House traditional pickles
Always something sweet…
🇱🇧Walnut and orange blossom baklava with pistachio cream and rose petals. Buttery, syrupy, crispy.

This whole menu can be gluten free. It can also be vegetarian by substituting the chicken for halloumi. £25 per person. Collections ideally between 4pm and 6pm on Friday 3rd July from Tettenhall Wood WV6 8. Other collection times may be available, please ask. Payment by bank transfer prior to collection. Comes with simple instructions ready to reheat/cook at home. Please let me know about any allergies or intolerances when ordering.

Congratulations to the very lovely Laura & Rob on their wedding day. And what a day for it!

It’s always a real privilege to be asked to cater a couple’s most special day.

The Cowshed at Woodhall Farm looked especially beautiful today, decorated in warm Mediterranean colours. I got the feeling the party will go on well into the night 🍾

✨Camilla & Richard✨

I was honoured to create the pre-dinner canapés and wedding breakfast buffet for the very lovely Camilla and Richard who got married today at the always gorgeous Bridal Barn near Bridgnorth

Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone out there who will care more about your wedding food or put more thought or love into putting it all together for you. Each wedding ages me about five years I think 🙈

🇪🇺EUROVISION FINALS GRAZING🇪🇺

To complement your Eurovision finals party, why not order my Euro grazing?

Premium cheeses, meats and savouries from all over Europe, labelled with mini national flags, plus all my usual extra grazing accompaniments like smoked almonds, candied pecans, olives and tonnes more.

All ready to takeaway on large 60cm x 40cm trays to plonk in the middle of the table and tuck into as the evening unfolds.

No mess, no fuss, no cooking, no washing up. The easiest hosting ever.

I haven’t mocked one up but you can trust me that it’ll be pretty great, abundant with lovely snackie bits to tempt you and your guests. £75 per tray, each serves 8 generously. Comes with a menu so you know what everything is. Alternative sizes available, DM to chat. Smaller grazes may not contain every element due to space.

🥒Asian smacked cucumber salad🥒

Your new fave.

It’s vegan, nut-free, can easily be gluten free and is lip-smackingly tasty to boot.

Lots of lovely feedback about it since the takeaway on Friday so thought I’d share the recipe in case anyone fancied trying it at home ☺️

🥒Slice a cucumber in half lengthways and lay it cut side down on a board. Give it a good smack with a rolling pin to split it a bit.
🥒Slice it thickly at an angle, pop it into a colander and sprinkle with a big pinch of salt. Toss it around to coat. Pop it over a bowl and leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours for the excess liquid to drain away.
🥒Make the dressing: mix 1 tbsp Laoganma crispy chilli in oil (readily available on Amazon), 1 tbsp soy sauce (I love ), a splash of mirin, 1 dessert spoon tahini, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp veg oil, 1 crushed garlic clove.
🥒Toss the cucumber slices in the dressing, top with sliced spring onions, crispy onions (not GF) and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
🥒Away you go.

Serves 4-6
