I have a couple of spaces available for enquiries over the bank holiday on Sunday and Monday if you are using your time off to wedding plan!

💖 More Bang for your Buck! You will have unlimited contact with me leading up to your wedding and it is likely that we will have shared coffee, wine or brunch! All adding to your wedding experience and ensuring that you are fully comfortable with me.

💖 Your day your way! Want to have your wedding in your garden? Outside in the woods ... at your favourite restaurant, your local village hall or at another unlicensed venue? NO PROBLEM! A Celebrant wedding can be held anywhere you like!

💖 LOVE is LOVE ... I can help celebrate ALL relationships with no judgement and with Love & Liberty!

💖 No boring ceremonies in sight! You will have the best and most memorable wedding ceremony your guests will have ever been to! Tears, Laughter, Joy ... putting your ceremony at the very heart of your day.

💖 Write your own vows, promising anything you want to each other!!! Secret vows are always special as you really don't know what is coming making your reactions priceless. I can help with your vows if you are stuck for ideas of course.

💖 Be as creative as you like with your ceremony! Music, guests seating arrangements, your entrances, where you stand or sit during your ceremony there are no rules and I prefer to not stand behind a boring table thank you!

💖 I love to dress up for an occasion and have 3 wardrobes ... so if you have a colour scheme or style you would like me to compliment then chances are I will have something suitable lurking in my closet.

💖 Telling your LOVE STORY! A Registrar won't share your love story. This part of your ceremony with a Celebrant gives you an opportunity to share this with your guests and remind you of why you are standing infront of each other and how your got there! It's really something quite special.

🤩 CELEBRANT V's REGISTRAR 😶

So exactly what do Celebrants do and how does the service differ from a Registrar? ...

This is a question I get asked all the time from couples when I meet them.

I would love to tell you more about this in person but in the meantime here are a few sneaky peeks.

💖 There are NO restrictions in a Celebrant ceremony! ANY music, ANY readings, inclusion of ANY spiritual, cultural, or religious beliefs if you are a couple of different faiths. ANYTHING goes!
You can show off your true colours 🌈

💖 You will build a long term relationship with your Celebrant (anywhere between 6 months to 2 years typically), which means that on you big day you will be COMPLETELY relaxed, comfortable and deliriously excited for your ceremony! You will meet a Registrar on the day of your wedding 15 minutes before getting married! Enough said!

💖 As your Celebrant, I will brainstorm and help plan your ceremony, bringing bags of energy & ideas to make your day wonderful. I write your ceremony from scratch based on our meetings, making it highly personal, unique, emotional, funny, and whatever else you would love it to be! A Registrar will offer you a standard script with a few options you can select from that everyone says and is over in 20 minutes (sometimes less).

💖 Your ceremony could include lots of meaningful rituals; perhaps a Handfasting Ceremony - where your hands are bound together in unity with cords or ribbons representing the foundations of your marriage. Other rituals you could involve are candle lighting, cocktail making, sand blending, planting a tree or seeds, sealing a memory box to open on an Anniversary, making tea together, wine blending ... the options are endless!!! Or how about getting your guests to sing along to a favourite song? Sweeeet Caroline ... dah .. dah ... dah

💖 As your Celebrant I am available for a rehearsal and to ensure any last minute hitches are smoothed over. On your day I will welcome your family and friends (very likely some of them by name) and will be your ultimate Hype woman to get the party started! A Registrar won't have a clue who Uncle Paul or Aunty Flo are!

Hello friends 🤍

I thought now would be a good time for a post to introduce myself for any new followers on here and tell you a bit more about me and my story.

My name is Claire Penny, and I am proud to be an Independent Wedding Celebrant!!!! 😆

I haven't always worked in this field however, my background stems from corporate professional work in recruitment and running my own business for 10 years.

Recruitment is all about getting to know people and their stories!So when thinking about a new career (and having had a Celebrant led wedding myself and been inspired) being a Wedding Celebrant ticked all of the box in terms of my skillset and personality.

People are my thing!!!

I trained with FPC (Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the largest organisation of independent celebrants in the UK and Europe) and the rest as they say is history!

I am based in Berkshire and cover this area as well as Hampshire, Surrey, Middlesex, The Cotswolds and of course I will travel if invited to a destination Wedding or further afield in the UK at request.

I would love to chat to anyone interested in a Celebrant led Ceremony for their wedding day so please feel free to drop me a message to book in a discovery call to get to know a bit more about how I work and to see if we are a good match.

It's Monday again!

I'm absolutely loving the peachy tones of my Mothers Day flowers and thought they deserved to be celebrated in full today!!!

It also dawned on me that I no longer dislike Carnations as much as I used to!
Are they back on fashion, or did they never go away? 🤔

They would certainly compliment the new retro piped wedding cakes that are very much en vogue currently!

What colours would you compliment these peach tones with for a wedding scheme?
